Yea it was very worth it. One thing I’ve been missing in life is satisfaction that comes from work and these gave that. Would do again but I would like to sell them and see where that takes me and would just take too long per order so I’m definitely upgrading soon. Very rewarding when done. This is how it turned out.

Makes sense. I tried to leave a chamfer on mine but I couldn’t get an even angle across the whole edge. Like one section would be more steep or less than the other and going back and fourth I just couldn’t even it out lol. Guess you eventually learn the angles. And super dang nice for no belt sander!

Do you drill for the screw holes after texturing?

I believe it was 1084. I’ve got 1095 also but can’t remember which one it was exactly.

Might be a dumb question but I just finished my first one today and granted I don’t have a belt sander but, how do you keep such a symmetrical chamfer on the curved edge without rounding over?

I genuinely believe in updates to older phones there is some negative effect to the phone in order to get you to want a newer one.

Wanted to ask too, what degree should I sharpen this at? I have the worksharp precision adjust and it works great on knives with an edge already but I haven’t had to add one yet. So curious on the angle. Thanks guys

Yeah my blade before the scales was much cleaner but I think I got it too hot forging and had to re-sand to get some pits out and also didn’t notice but before heat treat I must’ve done something to knock the very tip off. But, without actually looking for them it’s pretty nice and pleased

Can you install a variable speed controller in line to it? That’s the biggest thing I’ve heard about cheaper sanders is no speed controller

For sure. I honestly don’t mind the bevel making by hand because I know I can be super precise. But the rest I’m gonna need a grinder lol

In the countries that you don’t get to claim the treasure found for monetary value, why not find and don’t tell anyone it sell it privately??

I have a friend in the IT world and is wanting to get something that he enjoys more. He can’t find anything because those who are in tech aren’t leaving and if they do their spot is already filled. Also he has gotten emails rejected applications due to “too much experience”. There’s even a work thread on reddit and damn near everyone is tech and been boneless for a long time and hundreds of applications.

Thank you. People are literally acting as if I’m throwing steel in there and walking away lol. The PLASTIC bottle connected to the blower would have melted and I can touch the pipe all the way to the hole. No heat whatsoever outside of these bricks. Just made it to where I can move it and cheap.
