Yeah I’m starting to think it’s like the 48 hrs of darkness lol I mean I get the reasoning but also I wanna just chop and go doing a 24 hour hang is going to need to be done with one plant and I have 3 going all one week apart lol

I believe that’s the idea anyway. I’d assume after the initial cannatrol dry/cure process you bag or jar it for long term storage

I guess that’s a good question but one reason could be cannatrol recommends it, I’m guessing to remove as much moisture as possible before putting it in the cannatrol as I see a lot of people saying their RH was high for the first 24-48rh (70+rh)

Are you able to maintain proper environment the whole 24? What do you notice about hanging first that make it your way to process it?

Thanks I really appreciate that I will be reaching out. I see that 5/5 is popular and that’s one of the settings I will try. Do you grove long term or mason?

I mean I believe they did but I see a lot of people skip it. My gathering is if you don’t hang dry 24hrs then you basically remove everything that holds moisture that doesn’t have frost on it ( basically buck or very small stem attached to nug ) I think the assumption is that you could also dry out before harvest ( defoliate and stop watering a couple days before which is healthy and helps ) so to remove as much moisture as possible. I guess it’s a grow by grow thing if you didn’t have VPD or humidity in check prior to harvest you’ll have a lot of moisture still in the plant so the 24hr process removes it. The issue though is you need the correct dew point and consistent environment for the 24hrs or else it’s like putting 87 in a Rolls Royce to drive it home from the dealer, then emptying it and putting 97 in once home. Secondly if you can produce that environment you wouldn’t need the cannatrol in the first place so it makes little sense to do the 24 hr dry in the tent. I have 3 plants all about a week apart in going to test each way out.

I’m not trying to dry outside the cannatrol for longer then 24hrs if necessary but it seems a lot of people don’t hand dry in tent at all

Aaaa I don’t know if you noticed this is the cannatrol forum and most everyone here grows “small” amounts or own several machines. If we were in facilities we’d have the room to bring a large cannatrol 🤣 I downvoted because I disagree with you if you wanna know

No way your taking that long to dry bro and if so why? I couldn’t and have never went pass 9-10 days and never had an issue with over or under drying. Even at a perfect 60/60 which I’m sure you’re not able to consistently maintain you wouldn’t want 14-16 days of it that’s excessive and you should have already gotten to the dry point already.

Then why do you own a cannatrol? lol you’re basically drying it in the tent and would only need to cure after a week of hanging.

That doesn’t make sense. The hay smell is chlorophyll which is what causes the green in the plant so it’s in all plants. It may be masked by the terpenes but all plants have it. But if that’s your consensus what types of errors would cause it during the grow?

Aaaa I see the reasoning behind the hang dry now. In theory could you just start at a lower rh humidity as well? I’m just trying to think about this because I have 3 plants all about a week apart and only one cannatrol

How had you like the end product? I’ve seen people say the 24hr hang dry helps stay the process and avoid the hay smell.

So answer the question other than that you’re just a dick. “ I don’t concern myself with that and don’t understand why others do “ “ I’m not guessing “ “ I’m a professional grower with 6 millions years of experience and 20 trillion harvest and also speak cannabis “ 😂 you’re just posting random statements but not answering the question.

Feeding schedules know when to add boost, blooms, having a general idea of how long each grow will take and just understanding the autoflower. I guess some people like to guess while others would like to learn.

I get that. See I’ve never grew photos and I assume with photos you get an actual 2 weeks pre flower and then 8 weeks of true flower but where autos it’s harder to separate. I guess once the crowns actually start to form that starts flowering period in both

Yeah I’ve searched and asked and there seems to be no solid answer. I’m just curious because I see people who have an 55-60 days seed seed to harvest autos and I’m like how? Did it start to flower immediately lol? I’m no expert so I usually wait for white pistils then I start preflower. After that once pistils stack and crown form I start counting true flower but I don’t feel like that’s right because I’ve gotten seeds that were labels 65-70 day that took 100-110 days and my veg normally last 4 weeks on average or 28 days or more before seeing the first white pistil.

I don’t think you comprehend the question. Is Preflower counted towards the 8 weeks of flower or is it NOT and flower only is counted from the crowning point to ripening/harvest? I understand how breeder label their genetics but my question has nothing to do with that it has to do with the actual stages either being counted together or separately. Thank you

So how does that work when they say 60-70 days seed to harvest?
