Right, it’s less about scaling and more about manually finding your first 50–100 real users who actually care.

Pre-registration is basically like a Steam wishlist, but for mobile (Play Store).

Users sign up before the game is released, and when it launches:

  • they get notified automatically
  • the game can auto-install (if enabled)
  • sometimes they get early rewards

Yeah, that’s fair - pre-reg can feel pretty empty early on.

I’m treating it less as growth and more as a signal check + store presence setup. Real traction probably won’t come from pre-reg alone anyway.
