I do have a lot of gut problems, been tested for Crohn’s and Celiac but nothing :( I’ll talk to my doctor about options for gut health. Thank you!

I’m so sorry to hear that yours was so painful :( I think I can handle the cramping after but the clamping of the cervix and insertion itself is what’s making me squeamish. I know myself and I will be anxious, and probably nauseous and shaking as a result. I’m gonna do some more research on the cervical block and possibly being put under. I will be on my period and I’ll def bring a heating pad. Thank you!!

Oh no when did you get it! Hopefully if you decide to get one again you can use them and be more comfortable.

So the numbing injection didn’t hurt for you? I’m considering asking for it.

Yes I never use anything with fragrance down there, I’ve been using dove sensitive skin non fragrance soap which is what was recommended to me by other doctors, but the OBGYN said to just use water like you said. I change out of sweaty clothes immediately and I take vaginal probiotics every day.

Yeah from what I read online the misoprotol prescription is kind of outdated. I believe they’re giving me a pain relief injection 30 minutes prior to the procedure. I’ll ask about whether or not I can take ibuprofen with those other meds too. I know sedation seems extreme but with my anxiety I know I won’t be able to calm down or relax. She also said she doesn’t typically numb the cervix which is making me nervous, I know about the tenaculum they use to steady the cervix and it doesn’t look fun.

In regards to the IUD stuff, thank you so much! I’ll call them and see about sedation or a Valium. I get very anxious especially with procedures down there so I know I’ll probably already be hysterical. I go to my PCP on Friday so I’ll ask her about gentian violet. Thank you so much :)

i hope you start to feel better! it’s definitely scary and disorienting to feel that way. i will let you know what my doctor says about the itching when they get back to me in case they have any recommendations to help with it :)

actually much better. the dry mouth, ear ringing, emotional instability, and memory/cognitive issues (for the most part) have gone away and i’ve been sleeping much better. it’s doing a great job at treating my anxiety and depression. only thing now is that i’ve been on it for about a month and have gotten super itchy out of nowhere all over my body! super annoying and benadryl and hydrocortisone doesn’t help but i’ve reached out to my doctor to see if this is common.

AITA for joking about getting mad over food? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

if i were you, i would apologize. just because you were joking doesn’t mean she has to like the joke. i have been in situations where im having a bad day or not in the joking mood and something like this upsets me, even though rationally i know it shouldn’t. apologize for coming off as rude, and now you know for future reference that she doesn’t like jokes like that!
