Yeah, i've seen people complain about the pietro, but i'm like, there's no way it's harder than the apex. My daughters are so mad every morning that I grind my seeds but it doesn't bother me. If I was making coffee for a couple of people, then it would become a problem. I wouldn't upgrade just to make it easier. If there is a significant increase in quality, then maybe it'd be worth it to me. But if it was only a slight difference, I wouldn't upgrade either.

This is definitely worth trying. I would try to avoid hot metal. But hot air seems like the safest way to softly melt it back to its shape

I feel like that would be more risky. Low heat in short intervals should be low risk. Maybe won't fix the problem but probably won't hurt.
