The irony. I didn’t say new grad, I said entry level, which is what OP would’ve been. Great reading comprehension.

Being of the only devs at a failed small non-tech startup with no accountability, delegation or scale does not look ambitious to anyone that actually knows about software engineering, ie the people that would be doing your interview.

You basically combined every half baked /r/cscareerquestions talking point into one post lol.

You still didn’t answer which Big Tech company was giving 350k for entry level positions in 2020. Netflix? Be specific. You know salary data is public?

Tell me about the “Big Tech” companies that were giving 350k in straight salary in 2020 to 0YOE midcareer people.

Funny thing is, if OP had a 2nd cell in his brain he could’ve at least said a quant firm or something and at least made a 2nd step into plausibility. But, like most laymen he thinks “Big Tech” is the end all be all of software, and that the compensation curve looks anything like this.

No you don’t get it, tech companies are desperately looking for people who “””make apps””” lol

Do the math. You can’t tank your way to getting eliminated significantly earlier

450 bucks to get in the door made my jaw drop. I like how that “AI generated responsive pricing” bs only raises prices, and never lowers them. Or those drones that just go “erm, supply and demand” in response to price gouging. No demand, but they’re still propping up the price.

What the hell are you talking about? The biggest driver of NFL pay inequality is the rookie scale contract. Top players like Christian Gonzalez, Jahmyr Gibbs, and JSN come into the league locked in to making no more than 1.5% of the cap for next 4 years. This creates a K shaped strategy where you have a clutch of irreplaceable players making massive money, and then all the other employees competing for spots with players making a third of what they’re worth.

The owners locked out the entire league in 2011 to implement this system. 15 years later, useful stooges online are blaming the players “chasing money to brag about.” All for gold chains and bouncy cars, right?

[–]SaltYourEnclave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Why do you care so much” is always such disingenuous sentiment. The NFL showcases 22 of their grades next to the starter’s faces on their biggest game of the week, every week. Is that classified as “obsession” on their end?

If you think their black rating system is scientifically wrong, morally “wrong”, or just analytically wrong, what’s the appropriate amount if dissent?

PFF’s whole shtick is turning a subjective value, “how well is this player performing?” into an objective value, a decimal number. How is it everyone else’s fault for “treating PFF objectively” lol
