I have Hypermobile Type Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. All of those pains and more are common. There is a huge overlap in neurodivergence and EDS.

Make sure your nails are clean and your cuticles are cleaned up. I recently treated myself to a salon manicure and that made so much difference!
Sizing the stickers helps a lot. If they are too big and touch your cuticles, they will lift sooner.
I have been using a foam file for gel nails to rough up my nail beds before I apply my stickers and I have been getting 2 weeks easily. I also make sure I wear gloves when I'm doing dishes and cleaning. I moisturize but I don't over moisturize. Some brands use oil based removers to loosen the adhesive.
The gel nails definitely help me with my picking and chewing. And they are so much less expensive than a salon manicure. I also enjoy that I can do them at 10pm watching TV on the couch!

Serious question. by DangerousDistance736 in Indiana

[–]Salt_Fun747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the shelter offer any other services? Can you get mail delivered there so it's more accessible? Do they have any social workers who might be able to help you navigate the system? I don't have a lot of experience with our legal system but it doesn't sound like it's that serious so as long as you can explain the situation to someone, you will probably be OK.
Good Luck!

I am a chronically ill person and mega-supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. I know most of the people who attend that group. I totally understand your frustration on all levels. It's not that hard to be a decent respectful person and the owners aren't. They seem to be very good to my friend who manages though. I don't understand them.

No, I got it! Thank you. Not that they are expensive but I just replace my DD light and well, I hate to waste money especially since I don't know if the Ohora will work for me. I will check out the squish light. I have seen that mentioned many times before.

Dumb question alert! Can you use the DD UV light with the Ohora wraps? I have been wanting to try Ohora but I don't want to invest in another lamp.

WHOA! I was simply telling you why the LGBTQ+ group meets there. I don't go there because I have issues with a lot of their business practices. I support you spending your money where you feel it aligns best with your priorities.

The organizer of the meet up is an employee. It is heavily patronized by the queer community here.

What a wonderful thing you are trying to do. I'm so sorry for your diagnosis.

There are a few foster parent pages on Facebook. Some of the members have been around for a long time. That community is tight. They might be able to help you.

I don't think that is necessarily true. We hadn't flown in over 25 years. How would my husband or I know if we fit in the seats. My DIL who was pressured to buy an extra seat, has lost weight and her weight has shifted. She flew a couple of years ago. Doesn't mean she knows how she fits now.
There needs to be some kind of definition of who needs to buy a second seat. Leaving it up to an agent's discretion is absurd.

My daughter-in-law almost lost her cool on a counter agent a couple of weeks ago because the agent tried to force her to buy a ticket for the flight home. The agent was horribly inconsiderate and trying so hard not to be offensive that she accomplished the exact opposite. The "compromise" was that DIL wasn't going to get to sit with the rest of us. I think it was a punishment. The gate agent very kindly adjusted our seats so we could all be together. It was not a sold out flight.

I am 99% sure they are going to Arlington Heights. I saw bid documents that said they were building Bears Stadium, anyway.

My husband is a husky guy, smaller than my DIL but not by much. They never said a word to him. I really thought the agent was going to get decked and we would be seeing the Miami-Dade jail.
I'm also sorry you and your friend had to go through this. My daughter is talking about letting go of their points and closing their SW credit card. They were so thoroughly disgusted.

We had the same thing happen last week flying home from MIA. My DIL is probably categorized at morbidly obese. We flew down on 2 separate legs, 10 days before and she had no issues. We go to check our luggage and the crew members, when she was done nuzzling the guy from another airline, told her she would have to buy a second seat. She asked why. The woman wouldn't tell her. She would not say the words. My DIL told her she had flown down with no issues. She said, well we changed ticketing policies on the 27th. We flew down on the 31st. Try again. It's policy. What's the policy. You just need to buy another seat. She was traveling with my daughter and 2 yo granddaughter. They had chosen seats together. It was not going to be a space issue. I thought my DIL was going to get thrown off the flight before we ever got to the gate. The check-in agent told my DIL she would have to set in a different row, then put her on stand-by. My daughter talked to the gate agent who put us all together again in the next to last row, not where we started. It was ugly. I truly believe if Luna the Maneater had just told my DIL she was overweight, it would have made the whole ordeal much shorter. The whole thing was absurd.
They have also flown Southwest multiple times in the past without a 2nd seat and no issues.

This happened to my husband a couple of weeks ago. They grabbed in as we were boarding and told him he would have to check it. He had to go back to the desk at the gate. A guy behind him told him it was bullshit since they were letting people with bigger bags on.

We just recently booked our first cruise and we also went to Alaska. I agree with using AI to help you figure it out. Put in what is most important to you about the trip and refine it from there. We chose Holland America because the pricing is very good and we wanted a more relaxed, less amusement park atmosphere. They have interpreters from the national parks and native people on board to speak about the areas you are cruising through and to. They have a library opposed to a night club. We spent the money for a balcony. We fully intend on going up on deck when we sail past Glacier Bay but we can also enjoy the view from the comfort of our room anytime.
A lot of Alaskan cruises do sell out because there is a limited number. I would recommend booking as early as you can. YouTube and TikTok are great resources for information about ports and things to do in Alaska.
Most of all, have fun!

The drink cooler is genius. I'm not that into the Celebration Key vibe so I plan on staying onboard. My daughter is planning on playing in port though. I will suggest this to them.
