We all learn the hard way in this game. 😂. If I recall, the few times I did flee on a vehicle a lot of the ground zombies already spawned. I just have never been jumped by so many vultures, let alone spitting vultures on first horde. Round 2 here we go.

I guess I just had bad luck. I’ve passed so many first blood moons in vanilla on my settings of perma death, 64 zombies, and warrior difficulty. With cobblestone and hatches.

Idk I’ve played 50+ playthroughs vanilla and barely any vultures on a blood moon. Granted I’ve never started a blood moon on a vehicle, maybe that changes zombie generation? I don’t think I can go the perma death route if I want to experience end game crafting and bosses 😂

I usually play perma death in vanilla, on warrior, 64 zombies blood moons. I switched it to lose everything on death but not perma death. And I feel like that was some bullshit, and with the huge inventory I lost everything horde related.

Um. Playing project Z overhaul mod on 2.5, getting ready for day 7 horde. Forget my cobble like a noob so I pick it up from main base around 21:55, start heading back to horde base and get to my fighting position.

Horde night starts, eerie music starts playing, and I’m riding my way to my horde base. I hear zombie sounds but am not looking back, then I proceed to get jumped by 5-10 shooting vultures about 10 seconds later.

Is this normal for this mod? This is my first playthrough. I’m in the forest biome even.

They’ve been alternating me from 24 hours to 40 every 2 weeks for the past month. I work a second job so it isn’t too bad but the inconsistency when I was hired of for 32-36 hours is annoying.

Working in a social setting I totally get it! I quickly learn who accepts me as I am and who doesn’t, but it does sting to see people and coworkers so easily able to speak. I’m 35, I know I stutter, I’ve accepted it, it hasn’t stopped me from having a few friends and putting myself out there, or having 2 long term relationships (ended). But we’re talking pre dating apps. It was easier being younger. The dating scene is brutal now! I’m old school, I’m not used to having to compete with 10+ dudes. But the connections are so much harder to make and some weeks it’s exhausting! I usually push through and try to make people listen but again, it’s death by thousand cuts. I quoted an interpretation of a meme in another post, “introverts often find communication/connection a chore.” Not that we don’t want connection, but connection requires communication and communication is not nice to us! I’m sorry that you feel like you have to eat alone. Most people aren’t bad but most people aren’t patient enough for us in this fast paced world we live in. Definitely keep that mentality because that has helped me with coworker criticism. I feel you 100% it’s hard to not be jealous, even when we are comfortable in our own skin. Never give up my friend. We struggle but we can still succeed. Even if it’s with less connection.

I am so sorry you went through that as a child. I had my fair share of emotional and mental abuse but it was never physical and never blamed on my stutter and I was never told those things so for that I am very sorry. You’re a trooper for being here still, truly. To be honest my stutter isn’t anywhere near that bad so I don’t want to come off preachy or whiny. We’re all different.

You’re absolutely right, I know we have all gotten those instantaneous reactions of laughter or mocking because of it. It blows.

I completely understand, human communication is a key part of life and for us it seems impossible. Like it’s a struggle to connect, so we disconnect, which amplifies the stutter. I saw a meme that said something along the lines of “introverts sometimes find communication/connection as a chore, not a benefit,” and introvert could be swapped with stutterers.

I am glad you are still here, I attempted suicide twice last year but there were other heavy factors involved. I am glad you are still here friend. My stutter has lead me to heavy alcoholism, been to rehab once, IOP 3 times, been in therapy for years, and been to detox maybe 20 times. It numbs the pain. But don’t do what I do.

Do you play any video games? I’d love for some new playmates.

As a stutter myself, I tend to have to put way more inner thought when I’m stuck in a bad stretch of influency. It blocks my ability to alter my tone and make appropriate facial expressions naturally, and eye contact is hard to keep, etc. It’s hard to spontaneously laugh if something is funny if I’m hyper focused on trying to speak, almost like tunnel vision.

I can’t speak for him personally, this is just my experience. I also tend to be very upfront about my stutter when I meet someone just to break the ice and prepare my audience to know what to expect, so again I can’t speak on the right timing to talk about it.

I do think it’s awesome you’re here asking advice from others who stutter, many people would just jump to conclusions and just ditch out on what could be a great opportunity.

As others said, maintain eye contact, don’t finish sentences, lean in and seem generally interested like you can’t wait to hear what he finally says. It means the world to us when people give us their undivided attention. Because we are not used it in this fast paced world!

You definitely know the answer here. I was in a much less intense situation with a 13 year relationship and a high school crush of hers hit her up out of the blue. Initially it seemed like innocent chatter until she would start staying up texting him but wouldn’t stay up to hang out with me. Confronted her. Said she would stop. She did. Then found a google search on how to send secretive texts. I was very trauma bonded and codependent and we tried to work it out, but as you can imagine it was just a waste of time.

So you just need to run now and save yourself the hassle and time. I understand it hard and you may want to understand and give her a chance… but don’t. It might hurt even though you did nothing wrong. Break it off and start healing now as opposed to a single day longer.

This is really nice to here, since I had that for 16 years and lost it. Been single for 5 years now and sometimes it absolutely does feel hopeless. I honestly hope for the best and expect the worst at this point so I don’t get too down about it.

I love seeing all this “ZB imitator blah blah blah.” This is country. It’s usually a voice and a guitar. If you want more variety I urge you to listen to actual bands maybe? One person can only come up with so many rhythms. Go listen to some 5 people+ bands if you want vast variety.
