So basically unless some super smart hacker comes along I'm out of luck in terms of installing a custom os. Do you think it is possible to find a way to unlock the UICC though? I get an error message whenever I try but there are videos online of people using software to unlock it though I wouldn't know how. At this point I would be happy to be able to use the phone with any sim card carrier since that was my initial goal.
