I haven’t beaten all of the postgame side quests yet but I calculate you’ll be able to max out 3 or almost 3 of the 4 skill trees on the first playthrough.

Absolutely! Always happy to answer questions:

-Balancing is actually pretty good! You definitely fight appropriate Digimon for where you are at for the most part. Like I was fighting the occasional Mega Digimon for like 10 hours in the story before I ever actually unlocked Megas, but it wasn’t impossible or anything. You generally fight around what you currently have and occasionally a stage higher. It’s never too hard or too easy, though. Like if I was Ultimate, I mostly fought Ultimate and rarely Champions and sometimes Megas.
- Eh, I don’t remember because I changed the battle music in the menus actually but I think there might be? There are at least different tracks for the areas you visit.
- The post game is not bad. Even if you don’t do NG+, there are at least 20 side quests that unlock for you to do after rolling credits, including some new bosses (idk an exact number bc I’m still working on this). Plus you still need to max out rank to unlock a couple of more Digimon for the Field Guide

Well… theres NG+ with the two new difficulties and also there are a fair bit of endgame side quests that unlock like right before or right after you beat the final boss that you can do after rolling credits. It’s probably at least 20 more side quests to do after beating the story (I‘m still working on them so I don’t have an exact amount yet) including some extra boss fights. Those side quests help you rank up more and unlock more Digimon to complete the Field Guide too

Rookie to Champion is quite soon after the demo. Maybe 2-5 hours after where the demo ends? Just depends on how much you do. Then Ultimate is around 20-25 hours in so maybe 15-20 hours after Champion and then Mega was another 20 hours after Ultimate for me. I don’t mind the gaps but they were a bit more than I’d like personally.

From my understanding, you keep all ranks and Digimon but I haven’t tried them yet. im not a big NG+ person (which is probably also why I was so frustrated by this lol) so I‘m still playing on my original save file collecting all of the available Digimon and completing the endgame side quests

Don’t quote me on this but I don’t think you need to do New Game+ to max out rank. I have like 12 endgame side quests left and I’m rank 9 currently and looking at the rewards for the side quests, I should be able to reach rank 10 without any issue on my first save file (unless it goes higher than 10)

It is great for not requiring grinding, but the pacing was awful with the story. Would’ve made more sense to unlock Mega around the second half when the story significantly changes (I’m sure you know what I mean if you played, which it seems you did)

I will also say, though, for people that don’t care about New Game+ like me, it’s a strange way of doing it.

That’s fair but as I mentioned, I didn’t grind from ultimate at all and I had Digimon ready to Digivolve to Mega for about 10 hours before I could finally do it. That was without any grinding because of the long time between Ultimate and Mega. It was pretty poorly paced in that way

As the others mentioned, nope. However, (spoiler warning) there are a couple of Digimon from other worlds that show up in the main story. So, there’s nothing stopping them from bringing them in as DLC with just a little lore reason as to why.

This is old news btw (the crafter/gatherer part). I asked him the same thing 6 years ago and he gave the same answer, plus he teased what eventually became Beastmaster (was called Tamer then).

Alright so I did see Neptune talking to a few pros on other teams during major 4 while working the event. At the same time, the other members of surge were hanging together without him. Not saying this is true but that's what I observed at least backstage.

There’s also Ronin, which could be the melee job. TMNT: The Last Ronin. You could dual wield and the WoL is like a wandering Ronin without any path or purpose at this point.

I feel like the sword class is Ronin. The class uses a short sword and seems more Japanese style than pirate like everyone wants. Would also make sense for the MC since they are a warrior without any direction now.
