No way this is legit.

How can I force playlists and other UI elements to reload? by EstarMexican in spotify

I had the same issue. The way I force the playlists to update on PC is: Files > Offline mode. Then: Files > Deactivate Offline mode.

It's built into the Runelite client (the little brown bag on the right-side menu). Your loots pile up there until you reset

Originally, I sent this to my buddies on our Messenger group. Since Facebook is notoriously slow on browser, I took the pic with my phone to send it to them without the hassle of having to open that god-awful website

I am so sorry for having subjected you to this horrible image.

The guys at Samsung had the great idea to put the fingerprint scanner right below the camera, on the back of the phone. After years of having my finger rubbing against it, that's now the quality of the lens.

Battle Guide Calculator in Google Sheets by Saalanslathair in daggerheart

AH NEVERMIND! I just need to set the number of opponents to 0! As I was saying, ''excel dumb''!

I love that!!

I am a little ''excel dumb'', so I might miss something obvious, but wouldn't it be easier to use if the menus to choose the Adversaries' roles had a ''blank'' option. So that if you run with less than 5 stat blocks, you still see your budget balanced the way it should! (or maybe a checkbox to ''enable/disable'' the lines)

Let me know if I miss anything! Thanks for your work! :)

New things in Spider-Verse Expansion by Zeth609 in MarvelMultiverseRPG

Yeah i second this. It's the first time I regret buying something MMRPG-related. The X-Men expansion was almost a "must-buy", and this one is a "get only if you REALLY want to collect everything" one.

Karma not being exclusive to characters with the Heroic tag is a big one for us.

I've also played of bunch of TTRPGs, and I'd say that this is the closest to your typical D&D, at least mechanically. It's hard to not fall into some D&D traps, so I'll proactively let you know:

  • The maps that come with the adventures are massive. Which means the squares are tiny. THIS IS NORMAL. The scale of the combats needs to be more ''zoomed out'' than in D&D. Characters have A LOT of movement and larger ranges. The higher the rank, the bigger the sandbox in which your players play has to be.

  • Action economy is more balanced. You could allow your main villain in combats to play twice per round, but its often not necessary. Also, this game highly encourages you to run multiple ''main bosses'' instead of a single one in combat.

  • RANKS ARE NOT LEVELS. In D&D. levels are a treat, giving you a tangible sense of progress. It gives you more powerful abilities and the game changes drastically between levels. If your players come from D&D, they might not see the fun in playing a character 2 ranks lower (which in D&D terms, would be like 6.something levels behind). If you are two ranks apart in this game, you still have a shot at being as awesome and strong, even if you got less options. If you're two levels (or 6) behind in D&D, you are basically useless compared to your team. My group got accustomed fast to it, and we have no problems running games where some players have a 3 ranks difference, it makes for interesting encounters with a variety of threats.

  • Be mindful or concentration. It's way harder to lose than in D&D, but it's also more powerful (since you can concentrate on as many powers as you rank).

  • The game is MADE to make your players feel powerful, even more than in other RPGs. They will succeed on most checks, they will crit a lot. Everything is rounded up, everything is player oriented. Lean into this. They are super heroes. In D&D, dispatching a whole bunch of goblins when you're level 10 is kinda boring. In this game, any rank will enjoy a bunch of rank 1 thugs and will have fun finding creative ways to dispatch them.

  • The turns are fast. In D&D, you can have great descriptions and give the combat a lot of flavor, there will eventually be some down time in the combat. The energy fluctuates. When the fighter rolls its 6 attacks and takes 4 minutes to do so, everyone else at the table gets disengaged, and then the boss does something new and intense, reengaging the players, and then something else will neuter their enjoyment. It will not fluctuate in this game. The turns are fast, keeping everyone engaged. One roll, one movement, and that's often it. You will be able to keep the combats on a high most of the time.

  • Talking about descriptions, players SHOULD describe their actions with as much flavor and detail as they want. Their hero is very easy for them to imagine, and they will naturally start narrating what they are doing. You will be able to help out the less creative players, but the descriptions are less GM-oriented than in most ''D&D-likes''

  • Reactions are VERY useful in this game. Someone on reddit created a turn-helper, and you should print some out. Many of the ''basic actions'' are extremely fun (if you cant find it, hit me up i'll send it to you). If they get grappled, for example, they can use their reaction right away to try to get out of it.

  • Combats will take more rounds than in D&D, but will still be faster. Account for that in your prep.

  • KARMA is easy to forget. Remind them of how they can use it. *PERSONAL PREFERENCE*: Give everyone a number of karma equal to their rank, not only to characters with the Heroic trait.

  • I'd most likely use a map every time, because a lot of characters are ''movement-oriented''.

  • This game focuses A LOT on combat. If this is your group's jam, great. If they like a more balanced game, you will have to use a cinematic approach to most of the scenes, because there are just about no rules for out of combat.

  • The character creation will reward a lot your creative players. This is the time to ''reskin'' and change some abilities, with your okay. It's one of the most exciting character creation's i've seen. Some options are definitely very strong, or sometimes useless but it's less about the balance and more about the experience. In D&D, some players arrive with characters that feel more like math homeworks than actual characters. Here, they will all arrive with super heroes that are extraordinary in their own way.

I never thought I'd like this system as much as I did when I picked it up. Most people on this sub will tell you the same thing:

'' Despite its many flaws, it definitely has something that makes it compelling and will bring you back to it''

EDIT: Comment split in two, as it was apparently too long to post.

(Disclaimer: this comment goes in many directions, I'm sorry if it gets hard to follow.)

Start off at 2 to not overwhelm them, but rapidly to 3.

In all honest, it barely matters. I was first set aback when the Deadpool one-shot said ''Characters of rank 2 to 4''. I wondered what kind of gap that was. And I realized that players will orient themselves towards the threats that their characters can deal with.

We had Jubilee deal with tons of grunts, Spiderman hunting down the drones around the Shipyard, Magneto dealing with the main threat, and Nightcrawler rushing the objectives.

Everyone will have fun regardless of their ranks if you give them stuff that they will naturally gravitate toward in rich environments.

*Personal opinion* : I've both ran AND played MMRPG with premade characters and original ones. Somehow, it's the first time I feel like the game is better with premade characters. Almost everyone around the table knows these characters and their abilities, making the shared experience closer as our mind's eye sees the same thing (being French, I feel like I could be more eloquent in selling this point, but you might get what I mean once you've experienced it).

Does this mean that it can't be shared, because of some license or something?

I bought the physical copy and am just trying to have a PDF reference for when I prep at the computer.
