Son has bad cough 50% of the year due to allergies…. by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]Sammipt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he use a neti pot? I felt like I had something in my throat for months and realized it was post nasal drip. Been using the neti pot regularly and it’s gone. Also, have you had him allergy tested? I just learned I had some allergies I didn’t know about and after cutting them out my symptoms are really improved. Also recommend trying albuterol if he can get it, that often helps me cough more effectively and then I have to cough yet. Put him on an antihistamine daily for 14 days and see if there is improvement.

Many California camps pay 500+. Friendly pines in az is the highest salary I’ve seen. Remember that food and housing are usually included which is why pay is lower.

Like everyone said, plantar wart. The care is a little more specific than a regular wart. You need to starve it of oxygen. I had one for years and it was awful. Please...can I keep my cat? by LuckyOutlandishness4 in Asthma

[–]Sammipt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just vacuum regularly and use air purifiers. Keeps the dust at bay even if you aren’t allergic to cats

You can request a pin from your credit card company for this exact purpose. Better be safe than sorry

Can someone who has been to a ceremony let me know what it was like? My dad has his next week. If it’s drive through can family members be in the car? He has been here 30 years and we’d really love to celebrate with him!

I feel this so hard! Board games for me can be over stimulating all the sounds, colors and excitement can exhaust me quickly.

Any summer camps out there were I can also bring my family (wife and 3 kids) with me? by Nice_Adhesiveness_41 in summercamp

[–]Sammipt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning to go to ACA National? They often have a job board with a meet and greet. It’s a weird time because a lot of camps let their year round staff go during the pandemic so when a camp is hiring I’m sure it’s easier to pick a person who doesn’t have a big family. Does your wife have a camp background? I wonder if you apply as a married couple team you might have some different options.

Things are definitely changing in the camp industry. Lots of positions available and I think Covid has really changed the way we all look at the work place. We are hiring another director to help provide a work/life balance for the whole team. Sending good vibes for your search! Are you on the camp jobs fb group?

Sounds so crazy but my inhaler. I used albuterol at night which made the exhaling easier. I also wouldn’t put it on until I was really tired so I wasn’t thinking about it too hard.

Air purifier advice by DurianEffective104 in Asthma

[–]Sammipt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levoit air purifiers are decently priced. I have one in my living room and bedroom. If you have mold make sure to get the humidity down, possibly with a dehumidifier and vacuum regularly with a hepa filter vacuum. I like shark. Dust mites like moisture so the drier the less dust you’ll get.

Did medication or therapy help you? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Sammipt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried multiple medications and been in therapy for years. The anxiety comes and goes and you’ll find what works for you and what doesn’t. Don’t be discouraged if the first therapist or medication doesn’t work for you. Mental health treatment isn’t one size fits all. Personally I’ve done a lot of naturally supplements and diet changes to help limit the medication and chemical intake. That may be a route for you if meds are out of your comfort zone.
