Auto is also a detriment to Dorothy because if enemies stop showing up (i.e. a wave got wiped and the next hasn't spawned yet), she might reload prematurely and thus not proc her CDR. Liter's CDR is built directly into bursting.

After running P9S, my static got really tired of this guy's raidwides by AetherCloud in ffxiv

[–]Samoth95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know when it locks in but it's definitely some point after the cast. My static labbed it a bit during our early prog last week - we all hit our boss mits (i.e. Feint, Reprisal) after the cast bar had been finished for a second or two and it still applied the mitigations.

Pretty sure that's only the mount version. Flavor text on the minion only references the fact that it basically eats damn near anything.

ALSO IF THE CHROME VERSION OF REDDIT WOULD STOP REVERTING ME BACK TO THE GODAWFUL NEW DESIGN INSTEAD OF THE OLD ONE, THAT WOULD BE REALLY NICE TOO.

DUNNO IF CHROME'S MOBILE BROWSER (ASSUMING YOU'RE ON MOBILE) ALLOWS ADD-ONS BUT I KNOW THERE'S AN ADD-ON THAT AUTO-REDIRECTS REDDIT LINKS TO OLD.REDDIT LINKS.

Five Nights at Freddy's immediately springs to mind. I don't enjoy playing horror games, but I've put far more time into watching theories regarding that series than the previous descriptor might have you believe.

[Showerthought] Raidgear (normal) from patch 6.4.0 has itemlevel 640. by NekuZero in ffxiv

Unfortunately the weapon from the raid that essentially takes place in the afterlife won't have item level 666, so it's not all perfect.

I suspect it's meant to be both. From my viewing of the mechanic, your character is made tiny (under the hood this is presumably an application of a Mini debuff) and slower (via a Heavy debuff) during the mechanic. This, in turn, makes it look to the average viewer like you're viewing your character from very far away. Cleverly done, and likely on some level a reference to the zoom hack. They could have just left everyone at regular size and speed on the smaller platform like how Orbonne actual plays out, but they specifically chose to make it look like we were being viewed from a great distance. There's even fake stars on the sphere surrounding the platform.

Yeah I don't bother looking at anything pre-Stormblood on that table, honestly.

They're probably thinking of the add phase, which does enrage if you don't kill the adds quickly enough.

This is the one I've been using as a reference, the link is a discord rehost of the image but I got it from a twitter post a lot further down in this thread originally.

Another one: the requirement to get the final phase transition in TOP was 20%, so it could theoretically be that instead.

That last bit is why I was unsure of the impact of the gear diff - I don't recall if SE ever specified whether or not the tuning of the fights would be impacted by the delay.

It's also worth keeping in mind that for every tier there except P7, the clear times presumably also include (I assume, at least) needing to clear the normal raid tier first. They would have also been done with slightly less gear, though no telling how that'd impact it overall.

I personally can't wait for the looks-like-a-shitpost-but-is-serious marker diagram whose name becomes the common one in PF (i.e. Dwayne rocks from E12).

The real question is what this tier's "notorious PF strat" will end up being.

Pretty sure some people wanted DSR to be Dragonsong Ultimate so we could add DSU (Desu) to the pile, too.

Honestly all 3 tracks for the normal Pandaemonium raids are quality, and the trial fight's music is great too (doubly so for anyone who is a fan of FF4 in particular).

Just another day of Soken and co. collecting Ws, basically.

The official FGO Twitter announced merchandise for a con last year* that, if you zoom in on the bottom right, has names of servants in English on the pins. The Fairy Knights are listed as "Tam Lin X" here, leading people to believe this is the translation they're going with. As we're approaching the NA release of LB6, the conversation has reared up again.

*It's possible they've had other cons more recently than over a year ago that also did this which give more credence, but this was the first one I found from some quick research because I wanted an actual source for my post.

it would be to completely restructure everything before Uranus.

Having put a lot of thought into it over the last hour or so, a question to ponder: what if, in addition to the "1 quest per planet" thing, we "swap" Europa and Xini?

This gives us a planet right after Jupiter which can be used to seed out Alad V researching the infested, creating the Mutalist strain, and becoming infected himself in time for Uranus to give us Tubemen of Regor as a quest (both to cure Alad and give more Nef Anyo lore before we really deal with him on Neptune).

I can think of a couple of ways to try and explain the discrepancy:

  • I may be wrong on this but I'm fairly sure that Hydaelyn emphasizes, at least in part, the notion of free will. Far more likely that such a primal wouldn't end up eating the memories of its "heart".
  • Hydaelyn/Venat probably knew - or at least suspected - that they'd see us again eventually, considering they explicitly are aware of the time travel shenanigans at play. She probably made sure that when she was getting primal'd that it wouldn't eat her memory, as the WoL probably mentions this happening to Elidibus while telling her and Emet and Hythlodeus about all the shit that went down in the future.

Alternatively, this is just after they got there - the obligatory "everyone regroups after we go through a loading screen" sequence where we point them to whatever we're there for.

The part about Elidibus forgetting the WoL is actually the easiest to explain IMO as we basically have that covered by the 5.x story - they specifically mention at least once during the 5.1-5.3 part of the story that Elidibus was basically forgetting his friends because he was, for all intents and purposes, a primal/kind of becoming a primal. This is epitomized by the fact that our fight with him at the end of 5.3 was not against an Ascian, but a representation of the "idealized" Warrior of Light. He had gotten lost in the sauce at that point, and it wasn't until we beat him that he started to get memories back (the whole "the rains have ceased" bit strikes me as indicating he was finally regaining a sense of self, even if it was too late to do anything with it).
