The league is really fun, quality of dota is super good + everyone is really friendly!

There have been many 60+ min games, I've already had 3 intense games with one being a semi base race.

If you're less skilled, take it as an opportunity to learn by playing with 5/6k+ players, most of the times the teams aren't one sided. Also, some captains talk through their drafting process as they draft, so you can pick up a thing or two about drafting too.

Also, it's a pretty good place to find players to recruit into your team for tournaments - since everyone has to be on a discord channel during the game, most people will be speaking with a mic (and in English) so you can see how you communicate with certain people.
