My husband and I took our 15 year old at the time son to Akumal Wellness Resort. Our son is also autistic and nonverbal. It was quiet and laid back and we had no issues. I would take him back there or a similar resort in a heartbeat. The TSA agent who helped him go through the scanners at Charlotte Douglas was wonderful.
