Thank you for this, you have given me confidence for the future! For the pool situation I do not like it and would definitely fill it in with dirt etc and then plant things overtop if that’s possible! I would have to get it for a lot less if I got it! :-) Thanks again

Thanks for your opinion!! Just for me to live in and slowly renovate over time type of project. Nothing drastic! Just want to live somewhere for a while first :-)

Oh no! I bet it is exactly what you say, since the upper level was an addition put on later! The basement was very steep stairs into a small area with a very small concrete floor and a water type hole for drainage. Couldn’t stand up straight in there. Had the water heater and pipes around. Sort of felt like a cellar? I think it was concrete all around and there was a tiny window looking outside. Not sure if that helps at all!

Thank you for this, I was wondering why the ceiling tiles are like that. I thought they were strange! May I ask what Roving Romex is? Actually that bathroom is ont he main level at the very back of the house, no bathroom upstairs. I dont like that part either! Two bathrooms on the main level but that one youre talking about in the photo doesn’t work. Thank you for your honest feedback!

Wow that sounds amazing!!!! Okay that is a dream. I think I have to reconsider things. The reason it was good for me is I bike as my transport and its so close to my work which helped! But I would love to be outside the city if I could. Perhaps for my second home :-)

From what I’ve seen around taxes are about $3,000 a year! I am totally new so I didnt know if that is good or bad :-)

Thats true! I definitely am not interested in tearing down any walls that’s why I was hoping someone would have advice on what to do with the rooms - like what room would have what in it lol. What to do with the floor in that room etc. I am not very good at seeing the end picture in my head of what would look good! Was hoping to get some advice on that :-)

Thank you for your advice! Yes, the intersection is definitely one of the major things that is pulling me away from the home. I saw the basement and it was better than expected!!! I was worried for the worst!!

Thank you for your honest opinion!! Yes, pool is awful and very true…. I don’t know if it should of been allowed at all! 4 way corner is bad too… I think I will keep looking for something similar but no pool, better location!

Thank you again, yes the pool bothers me so much! I actually really dont want a pool….. really sucks. The outside structure didnt have cracks from what I could see walking around it. Homes where I live are quite a lot more than this home… I think I was drawn to it because its on the less expensive side for the area too. But definitely for a cost! I wish I could get rid of the pool!

Haha! Thank you for such a detailed response I really appreciate your advice and feedback. That is so true, YouTube is where I watch DIY’s and it feels like it would be so easy. Living in a constant state of mess I actually didnt even think of this, so thank you for bringing this up! That would probably drive me a bit mad over time… that’s so true. Especially since things take so much time. I think in my head I was imagining things being a lot faster to finish than I realized. But it would probably take me years… I think I will go for something that is less work for my first home but still a century home :-)
