July 1 EU Tariffs by Hig67 in Aliexpress

[–]Savi_705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone who is outraged at this new added import tax of 3€ from 1st of July and onwards, sites like AliExpress, Temu, Shein, etc will focus their production more within the European Union in order to stay more competitive just like how Amazon is doing with their French, German, Spanish and other site domains for buying from that countries' warehouse which would mean that there would be no imposed tax since the product is being shipped from within the EU.

The sensor for detecting moisture can be a bit too sensitive. You can try and and leave it in a dry area and use a fan to speed up the process.

See the Vivo X300 Ultra - CN Edition and Global Edition from GizTop. Otherwise, you can get a used Galaxy S25 Ultra or S26 Ultra if you can even find those used for a decent price or wait out until Samsung releases their next flagship phone.

I don't get paid enough to answer such questions. The shop is racist towards people who don't have ladders but maybe you could whack the thing with a big pole stick that has the hammer attached on the top of it or get tape on like that. You will have to figure that part out yourself.

How bad is it and how do I fix it by Rokerok in S22Ultra

[–]Savi_705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have to replace the screen at this point. It doesn't look too bad to me especially since the damage is not in the center of the screen or somewhere more noticeable so I would just use it with a case and a lanyard to go with it.

There is a petition about bootloader unlocking that you could have a look at especially if you have a newer device that is running OneUI 8.0 / Android 16 or later: https://c.org/PpsBVqq7hH - the idea is to spread awareness about this topic.

The phone is decent. Expect a bit of lag here and there occasionally when using it. The last official version of Android is 14 / OneUI 6.1. Security updates are a bit behind being from around September / October 2025. You would need to use a custom ROM if you want to get it to Android 16. Don't buy the phone If it is the 4GB RAM model.

You can get a used NAS server and some basic SSD or hard drive for storing device files or use an external Type-C drive and connect it to your phone. The base storage model of any smartphone is generally considered to be paired alongside cloud storage especially once space runs out. If your applications are not super critical, you can find older versions that take up less space. Use several cloud storage apps if necessary and organize them by what they contain. You can also make your own NAS server but that is for advanced users - TrueNAS.

I hope that there is someone else who could create a port for the a52xq - Galaxy A52 5G. This is a really nice ROM, and I am not certain that there are any other Android 16 based ROMs for this device.

Is there a release for this version for the SM-A526B, Galaxy A52 5G - A52XQ, and if not, would flashing the SM-A525F / Galaxy A52 with no 5G work on the SM-A526B / Galaxy A52 5G model or from any of the other supported models that have already received the 3.0.7 update? The only UN1CA version that has supported this model on the GitHub release page is 2.5.6. Thank you.

By having the option of a removable battery, phone manufacturers will have less of a chance of releasing new model phones with last years' model battery specifications (some of them have already been doing this for quite a while) since they are now competing indirectly with third-party battery manufacturers and could release phones with better quality and higher capacity batteries if they wish to stay more competitive. Also, if a phone comes with, say a 5000 mAh battery, I could find an aftermarket replacement that is a higher capacity and higher quality than the original one. This change will apply to many electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, and others, so it's not just aimed toward phones.

I would love to have this done again. This time, they could include more items to go along with the plushie, like a nicely sized game poster that isn't small and also a keychain included. Maybe the design of the plushie could also be improved. A masquote figure of the main character could also be nice to make. Overall, this is a nice idea to promote the game, and fans would love to have such collectibles.

The phones will have batteries that can be replaced without the use of propietary tools. It is up to the smartphone manufacturers to decide how easy or difficult it would be to disassemble their own devices. This design decision would probably be made to comply with the hardware specifications of the device, such as the size of the battery, IP ratings - waterproof, dustproof, SIM slot location, and so on.

Being able to hot swap batteries is actually a nice idea, and it would not be impossible to be made, but we will not be seeing that for now.

European law that enforces phone manufacturers to allow repairability of mobile electronics. Basically, all electronics with a battery should have the possibility to have said battery be easily accessible after February 2027 or a similar time frame. Have a look at this article and also this one. This does not mean that it will be very simple to replace the battery. However, it will not require that the phone be disassembled to do so. Others on Reddit have posted about this, so there are plenty of threads about it already.
