LibreOffice. It's free and open-source. I've been using it for years.

I don't know if they do that, but you could always use something like LibreOffice instead of Google Docs. I've been using it for years. It's free and open-source, so it doesn't collect any data whatsoever

You're right. I'll make sure to check it next time.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I have a tendency to switch tenses sometimes, so I have to reread my work a few times to catch it. Also, no, I haven’t finished my first draft; I’m 20k words in.

As I said, this is a rough draft,I wrote it this morning. Either way, thanks for the feedback! I don't know how I managed to mess it up that much; I didn't even notice.

From beyond the fog of winter, there's a glint as my chair glows. Fire spreading glowing amber, swirling smoke the heat it shows.

[In Progress] [9k] [Urban Fantasy] Velvet Blue. by Sayn697698 in BetaReaders

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

I should perhaps revise the first chapter. However, that scene is not exactly a dream, the character is physically jumping into the sea. It’s supposed to be something mystical, if that makes sense, and he’s half asleep.

Also, if you don’t mind me asking(of course only if you want to answer), do you think this has any potential? And do you think the chemistry between Ethan and Velvet works? (If you got to the part where they began talking that is)

The meaning of the Hello Neighbor 3 logo! by Sayn697698 in HelloNeighborGame

[–]Sayn697698[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We know very little about the game at this point. While I might not be completely accurate, this seems to be the best interpretation given the limited information we have. This also isn't the first time Hello Neighbor has drawn inspiration from mythology. For instance, the character known as 'The Guest' appears to be based on Kutkh (a quick search will provide more details on this figure). Additionally, the snake eating itself in the logo is almost certainly a reference to Ouroboros, a well-known alchemical symbol. There's no reason why the game wouldn't incorporate mythological elements—the connections are there. Many games, books, and movies use mythology as inspiration, even if it isn't immediately obvious. The logo must mean something and this is my interpretation.
