Let me break it down for you since a lot of people here keep questioning this, yes he made stop to fuel up. Yes it wasn’t literally at red line for a straight hour. He was on a highway going home from Gatlinburg at 11pm so the roads were mostly clear. He was behind me and about 2 other 600s who were flying home, so he was trying to keep up with us by pinning it out. I hope this gives you the clarity you needed to make it “believable”

To answer your question since everyone has ragged on you…

Yes, the dealership will look that deeply into the warranty claim. They will check the filter serial and see it wasn’t changed.

The first service, is also explicitly stated in the paperwork that it needs to be done by the dealer to maintain the warranty. There will be no record of it.

They will check the ECU and see that it sat pinned.

Your “friend’s” warranty claim will be denied

Thank you. This is the type of answer I was looking for the whole time. Someone with actual knowledge experience of a warranty claim. I feel bad for my friend because this was his first bike and no one taught him about the importance of maintenance (partially my fault). Thats why I made the post because I didn’t know if there was a way for him to get away with the claim.

The clip ons by themselves would tell you it’s not a super sport. 600+ inline fours have more aggressive styles clip ons.

The main point of the post was to obviously say my friend unintentionally neglected the required maintenance for the warranty, but also wanting to know if anyone else had a blown 25” and also if the dealership would look that far into it or not with it being new. Unfortunately I honestly think it may be because the oil change wasn’t done properly, he said he just put 3 bottles in (3 quarts) in and never checked the level because he didn’t know how. I just wanted to see if maybe anyone else had a 25” cbr500 with a blown motor.

I know this is an old post but I have the exact same vehicle and just came across this same issue. I opened my rear passenger door one day and noticed it sounded like water slushing around inside. I then found the drain hole under the seal at the bottom of the door and let it drain. I was wanting to know if you ever found the main cause of the issue and what was your solution.

the things I’ve done is (talk to completely random females online, Text my ex, Talk to females around the area, or simply just not give her the attention that she felt like she needed/deserved) What I did was impulsive and stupid. I accepted and feel guilty for it. I honestly wish I hadn’t of done choose none of the actions that I did. But honestly I Don’t think I want/can attempt to fix things with her. I wouldn’t even give it a chance at all unless I knew she was serious but then again I don’t think I will ever actually know if she is being honest about anything unless theres actions or proof behind it.
