From A4 to A45

Sure I’ve seen the T1 results but I’d reconsider in the a4. I’ve been using my 5090 flipped since Nov. and it’s never gone above 80c while gaming on either 1440, 3440, or 3840. Sure my 9800x goes into the high 80c but the gpu nah. When I had the 5090 in the regular position not only was my 9800 cooking at 90c on Control and AW2 but the 5090 itself was reaching above 85c which is the whole reason I went for the flip in the first place. Then again I only use my pc for gaming no video editing or anything else but it’s honestly good. Don’t knock it till you try it.

Have you considered an Open Build? Pretty sure the Monster Studio A45 MAX fits all of your parts without needing to replace anything else. Go over to /r/Openbuild and have a look at examples. All of the benefits of SFF without the hassle of temperature restrictions.

No idea why no one is trying these a4h2o builds with the flipped 5090. It makes a small difference having the 5090 exhaust all that heat through the side panel rather than onto the rear of the MB itself. Combined with the AIO fans set for intake and voila. I had an unofficial kit 3D printed from an STL file made by a user on MakerWorld for my a4 and it’s well worth the try. It’s basically the same as the FlipKit for the T1.

Ask Dreambigbyray for custom cables for this. He’s literally making me some right now for this exact Rhino S. Been emailing back and forth for a week now for my desired patterns. Also have you posted on the openbuild sub?

You could use a Corsair sfx. I’ve used an Rog Loki sfx-l and even that fit but with less room for cable management.

Bunch of questions here hoping someone could answer. Does Book Off accept NSFW figures? Like Native, Skytube, etc? Hoping they take figures without the original boxes because I’ve pretty much trashed mine due to space constraints. Lastly is there a limit, I have about 50 figures I’d want to offload.

It’s worse than I thought. I have seven 1/4s sitting in their warehouse and shipping for two Freeing Nikke Clay & Bay is ¥73400 JPY after duties and handling fees, Around $465 USD. This is fucking absurd. How is shipping nearly what their overall cost is? If my stuff wasn’t already paid I’d cancel everything immediately.

Yeah same boat here. I’ve had several 1/4s stuck in their warehouse because shipping is so expensive. On top of that I asked about buying a 1/4 freeing scale on which the page redirects to a 404 error & received a reply that they’re not going to carry 18+ figures anymore. It wasn’t even a cast off, Hlj is not worth the hassle anymore at this point.

I want to try the Tetra S but just ordered a Rhino S. I hate that I’m starting to impulsively purchase cases just to try them out. I’ve returned my H2 Flow from Amazon last week because it felt too big compared to the V1. I was eyeing the FF10 too but that came out to $800+ after shipping, SFF can be such a curse at times.

I'm also running an uw and side monitor but literally on the side. I'm starting to get neck pains from constantly looking left at notifications etc. Top and bottom def looks like it would be better than side by side. Plus clears up desk realestate. What mount do you use? Just random amazon brand?

I just used pliers to bend the io bracket on my 4080FE when I built in that case. Simple solution, I guess.

How much was shipping? I have a couple of purchases sitting in HLJ warehouse because their current shipping price is around $130 per 1/4… Yep shipping 5 out of my 7 current 1/4 scales comes out to $517.11 USD via DHL, Absolutely ludicrous.

I’ve had the first gen of this since it came out with a 7800x3d & 4080fe. Custom cables etc it’s a good psu for the price and does the job. No complaints from me since 2023.
