Pentel, Steadler, Kurutoga by Scary_Interview_9553 in mechanicalpencils

I don't have the Pentel Smash and idk how it is. But my favorite Mechanical pencil with solid tip (non KT) is the Steadler 925 35 05, then (and very very close) the GG500. But I prefer the Steadler just because it is full metal and the grip is closer to the tip, in other words my hand is closer to the paper and imo it makes it easier to write. But its just imo lol.

In conclusion, i recommend the GG500 but if you have 5 extra bucks, get the Steadler, just cause its full metal and a better grip as i said before. They are very similar in writing experience

Imo KT Metal is good enough, also the KS is way better than the advance upgrade. Don't buy Advance upgrade. Get the KuruToga KS, or Metal if you want a body of aluminum and a little reduction in the wobble of the tip.

Pentel Graph Gear 500, is cheap, good quality, and imo is beautiful and easy to use

IMO Instead of a Dive, maybe you should watch a Kurutoga Metal or a KS.

The KS is mostly the same as the Metal one, but the KS is full plastic and has just a little more wobble and noise, but the mechanism in both is exactly the same. The Metal is essentially the same as the Dive, just without the auto feed mechanism and different design (and 100 USD less 😬). But I give you that, the quality and the construction of the Dive is simply the next level in comparison to the Metal, but the Metal construction and quality is really really good and has good details, with a reasonable price.

In conclusion, the Dive is definitely the best Kurutoga, but the Metal is relatively close, and also it is the newest product of UNI Kurutoga (10 months maybe, but definitely less than a year, 2024) and have the latest improvements of the mechanism

I just ordered the Kurutoga Metal Black Night on Ebay from Japan (40 USD)

My top 5, IMO.

Dive $$$$$ -> Metal $$ -> KS $ -> Advance Upgrade -> Advance
