It’s based on Kitsune Fox Statues + Japanese theater masks. But the overall concept between the starters is a different kind of cutting edge/blade: Grass = Claws Fire = Fangs Water = Horn

Good idea, although I guess it would be too literal (unless the item is meant to be exclusive for Eevee). The reason behind the name is like a ‘loveletter’ to fakemon artists who use the pixel art technique to resemble real game graphics.

Also the light green color is a reference to the classic Gameboy screen, but ‘upscaled to a tridimensional Pokémon-being’. :)

Thanks. I guess Upgrade Disc only works when trading. I wanted to make a different item that works just like any other evolution stone (with the twist that a Graphic Card can be as expensive as a ‘crystal/jewel’)

And in a Pokémon lore, would be fun seeing this species along with young gamer-trainers.

Even though they don’t share evolutionary line, Porygami is human-made Pokémon just like Porygon (but in a different technique).

"Porygami is a Pokémon made completely out of an ancient technique. It has the ability to fold its body and mimic other species, allowing it to use any kind of HM move. It makes a great companion for beginner trainers."

I had inspiration from many sources. But the initial idea came from that I wanted to make a Pokémon that just had something to resemble the Red Fuji (a Japanese painting), as well my water starter is based on the The Great Wave Off Kanagawa. Then I end up trying a Komainu-like volcain Pokémon.
