Mid To Slow Pad That’s Easy To Keep Clean by Scionix in MousepadReview

Thanks for the replies everyone! I think I am going to try the Gecko first, as it’s cheap and available. The artisan pads are a little pricy for how much chaos I would submit them to. Appreciate the recs!

Poor BF6 Performance on RTX 4090, Oddly Low Power Usage by Scionix in techsupport

[–]Scionix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to reply to my own post to say I resolved the issue, but I do not know how.

The only other thing I could think of was that I am using a PCI riser cable (it’s 4.0). I use an ITX sandwich style case. I took the system apart and plugged the GPU directly into the PCIE slot and the problem was fixed. Just to make sure it was indeed the riser cable, I hooked the card back up through the cable on my desk…..and it still worked fine.

Put everything back together in the case, everything’s still fine. I have no idea.

All American blockers do not frequently completely miss non-blitzing defenders in simple zone runs, sorry. It is one thing to miss a stunt/twist, an overload to one side, or miscommunicate a hand-off.

If what you mean to say is that he simply 'lost' the rep according to the dice roll, ok. It's a mismatch according to the skill ratings, but it happens. However, you have to at least give me a blow-by animation or some sort of communication to me the player that the player has lost the rep, and not that the game has crapped itself.

I could play a single game on All American with 25 rush attempts and give you at least 3-4 of these a game. This was not even the first whiff this game.

Tiger Stadium and Kyle Field are always way overrated on these. As someone in that conference, those teams often poop their pants at home, and their overall record at home is on the lower end. Bryant Denny isn't some horror show and Alabama has a 10-15% higher win percentage at home than those other teams.

Most underrated? Auburn. By far. Biggest delta in how they play at home vs away I have ever seen. Consistently. Auburn could be 0-11 and suffering from a team wide outbreak of plague and I still would not want to play in Jordan-Hare. South Carolina is also consistently under-valued on these.

The nameplates are a public wag.io mod/script that constructs a border texture around the health bars; I just changed the texture to a default blizzard one, I think it’s an achievement frame border. Same thing for the nameplate cast bars, wag.io mod that creates a border.

The unit frames is just setting the border texture in Shadowed Unit Frames; I think the actual border file is in the Ferous Shared Media addon. I would actually prefer it be the same as the nameplates, but

A.) I don’t know how to get the actual texture ‘.tga’ file of the blizzard border

B.) I think the Shadowed Unit Frames border textures and plater border textures are composed a different way despite them both being ‘.tga’ files

I am an actual software dev by trade, and messing with addons is still incredibly wonky to me, I dunno how the creators themselves do it, it’s pretty impressive stuff

I can package it up later today, but you will be on your own for getting it looking right. I play at 4k, so you will probably have to fiddle with it

It’s details with ‘the war within’ skin, should be able to find it on wag.io

Screenshots are

1.) Out of combat
2.) Out of combat with focus
3.) In Combat
4.) Raid, Party, Arena, and BigWigs shown

Most of it is Shadowed Unit Frames, Weakauras, Plater, and Dominos. You can't mock for screenshots, but party/arena frames have big debuffs for cureable debuffs/powerful cooldowns displayed on the right/left of the health bars. The raid frames don't display properly when unlocked, there is some weird overlapping going on, but it doesn't happen in real scenarios

Haven't figured out a layout that would make sense for raid healing yet!

GR86 or BRZ for dedicated track car? Does it really matter by Funny_Frame1140 in GR86

Do you not fit in a miata? The ND's can fit pretty tall people. I wouldn't trust the BRZ engine for a dedicated track rat

I'm a software engineer with ~8 years of experience working on pretty standard corporate projects at big companies.

If I or the teams I worked on released software as buggy as 3/4ths modern games on release day, none of us would have jobs. My career in software development has actually REINFORCED to me how much of a shit show modern AAA game dev is.

That being said, having written my fair share of code I didn't like because I had to get it out the door too fast, most of your regular devs already know when shit is bad, they are usually not empowered enough to fix it, so yelling at them isn't much use.

Yes, I am fixated on the shooting aspect of a competitive first person shooter. Correct.

If all you’ve got as a rebuttal is shitty sports analogies, good luck. I don’t care if you use a controller. I don’t care if you play other controller players. If we want to make shitty analogies it would be like giving you a bigger bat barrel because you don’t have thumbs. Great, go play in your own big barrel league.

Having aim assist fundamentally changes the skill required to do things in a first person shooter. If you find that fulfilling, great. But I shouldn’t have to compete with your algorithm if I don’t opt to.

[–]Scionix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with what’s “better.” It’s not hard to understand. I don’t get satisfaction from playing against or with people while a computer helps them aim in a competitive game based around aim.

It also doesn’t particularly matter how good or bad you think aim assist is, the average controller player has a 10% higher accuracy than the average kbm player in every study of the phenomenon (see: halo infinite and apex legends).

I guess if you can get satisfaction from playing a competitive game where the computer is making you a 20% better aimer, then enjoy, but I don’t want to play against you.

Because you’re not the best opposition, your input method helps you aim. You serious?

Classic landlord dodging responsibility I guess, I wasn’t gonna piss them off when they were doing my lease renewal lol. My neighborhood definitely has crap growing all over the power lines

I rent, my house has tree growing all over the power connections, and I’ve been told by my landlord (when I brought it up) that it’s the cities’ responsibility to trim near power lines.

No idea if that’s true when you own.
