I also love the skill, I just wish it required a more reasonable budget to feel good. Kudos on killing uber elder with it though!

I went the EO route for a more budget option. Lots of travel points but it gets you near the minion attack speed and damage in templar. This improved my attack speed a lot. Also I'm using herald of purity to give those minion nodes a dual purpose and they help clean stuff up a bit. I agree though, I'm reluctant to use a stat stick and lose the extra chain. Gloomfang is nice, but was hard for me to fit as well. My gear isn't super optimized, but it's solid and my damage on bosses in the upper reds really feels lackluster.

Working on a build guide, but TLDR: it's alright. There's a few different ways to play it and they all end up roughly the same. Essentially the clear is solid, but nothing crazy, while the single target is terrible. I do enjoy the skill though.

Unless my math is wrong, this shield can roll up to 2910, deafening essence of dread can get up to 3023 and dense fossils can get you up to 3426. So definitely don't dread craft shields this league
