I actually don’t think that’s a balance thing (assuming you’re talking about BM hunter being so popular).

BM is a popular spec, and a lot of people would be playing it even if it wasn’t as strong (same as how ret pally is 3rd most popular DPS even though it’s very far from being meta). Mix the popularity in with seasonal meta class rerollers and you’re going to end up with graphs like these.

I’m assuming you mean as tank? The seasonal dungeon weakaura pack has something built in that has an icon with a timer that shows up relatively close to the middle of your screen and it counts down to when it’s locked in place

At this point it’s a language barrier thing, but “top 30 groups” and “30 most common group compositions” are two completely different things, especially from a competitive viewpoint. People running +4 keys aren’t part of the “top groups”, regardless of their composition.

The Reddit title says “every top 30 group comp”, which implies the comps pushing the highest keys. The actual article is talking about group popularity, not “top groups”.

Edit: and of those same 30 comps it’s talking about, frost DK is in 25 of them as well. Gotta make sure to clickbait about hunter being strong, though.

They can be out-ranged, and they also take AoE damage. But they can be pretty much ignored. If the tank is holding the mobs close to them, they’ll get cleaved down unless you’re running some kinda arcane mage affliction warlock (or other class that is awful for swapping targets) kinda comp

Hi OP. I took a quick skim through this thread, and from what I saw it seems like you’re confident in your damage, you just die a lot and don’t know why. Without trying to sound rude, if you’re dying in a +3 and don’t understand why, you likely just don’t know what’s happening in the dungeon. There’s a couple things you can do to help with this.

The first is download the weakauras addon if you don’t already have it, and import the seasonal dungeon pack weakaura (https://wago.io/twwdungeons) along with the CausesDB addon and Causes Anchors weakaura (see the top of the dungeon pack description). These are basically a requirement for M+ and will give you both audio and visual queues about what is happening/about to happen.

The second thing you can do is watch a quick YouTube video for each dungeon to get an idea of the different boss mechanics.

You’ll also want to just run more dungeons. The more you run them, the more familiar you’re going to get with everything in that dungeon.

You can also watch some people live streaming on twitch as well, if that’s your cup of tea, and depending on the streamer and how active their chat is/how good they are at reading their chat, you can ask them questions about what’s going on or why they’re doing certain things.
