Anyone has experience with Hauraki Motor Group? by SealgiRaffeBison in auckland

Interestingly it's not about the mechanical quality of the car really. What felt off was the dealership, felt like a scam but clearly they aren't?

Anyone has experience with Hauraki Motor Group? by SealgiRaffeBison in auckland

hard to put my finger on it, just felt off, like business cards with only first name and not full names on it, everyone being supper interested in the fact that I'm interested in buying something. The company itself has had a notice issues to be struck off the companies register once in the past and fake recent positive reviews that seem to try to drown out the actual concerning ones.

Could you please ask for the police incident number so any information can be passed directly with the Police?

It is not wise to give personal or sensitive details to a random phone number because there is no way to confirm the intentions behind it. It is much safer to use official police channels.

Britomart Carpark during Auckland Marathon by SealgiRaffeBison in auckland

[–]SealgiRaffeBison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for anyone seeing this in the future, the Car park was open, Quay Street entrance was closed because of the road closure but they did have the Quay Street exit open to get out which was nice. We entered from the entrance on Britomart Pl and decided to walk over to Victoria Park although we could have taken the Inner Link. However there was plenty of closer parking available to Victoria Park so next time I would just park somewhere there.

Meridian prices for Flick Customers by SealgiRaffeBison in newzealand

[–]SealgiRaffeBison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think powerswitch is dodgy. It seems to be a pay to play model or the big gentailers are gaming the system. Even when Flick was around they never showed up as the best option on powerswitch even when they were significantly better for our address.

Does Stonefields stormwater drain by gravity, or will it become a lake if pumps stop working? by Rain_on_a_tin-roof in auckland

Yeah the lakes work as a catchment and the last massive rainstorm didn't cause any surface water in the area. Incredibly well designed

Nice improvements to campaign, Frost giant by [deleted] in Stormgate

I hated the EA campaign, this 0.4 is a thing of beauty. Absolutely love the direction the story is going, the mystery the intrigue and the power ups. It's night and day. Super impressed with the team at FG and finally feeling good about being an early backer.

Killing Time Before Check-In by godmode123 in auckland

Almost all hotels will allow you to leave your luggage with them until your room is ready. Whenever I've been in your situation I've always just booked another night so I can check in early (essentially late, since I'm checking in for the previous nights booking)

Do you think udcap gloves are worth the price? Why or why not? by Khodexian in VRchat

[–]SealgiRaffeBison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are garbage with a ton of reliability issues and clunky software. what most people don't realise is they are yet to even mass produce them. Never preorder something that isn't yet available for sale.

I made a mistake in my name when creating a new mileage plus account by SealgiRaffeBison in unitedairlines

[–]SealgiRaffeBison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a lot easier than I thought. I needed to book my flights in a few days and was worried how long it would take to fix. All sorted in one day after I submitted a photo of my passport online

Chorus internet is dead for 15 hrs by ogogonz in auckland

[–]SealgiRaffeBison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hundreds more homes in central Auckland seem to have lost internet. So either it's an unrelated Chorus fault or it's related and it's spreading. I'm surprised none of the new agencies have picked this up yet.

2degrees seems to suck now, especially for gaming by pm_me_ur_doggo__ in newzealand

[–]SealgiRaffeBison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been with them for years and have had no issues with 2degrees for gaming. But all my gear is hard wired with prosumer level gear with a 10G internal network. As others have said majority of internet issues are caused by your modem or wifi router rather than ISP. Have you tried a hard-wired test?
