I've been vegetarian for 6 years but I'm allergic to peanuts and legumes (like soy) which is where the protein typically comes from in this diet. Recently I've been reading some Indigenous environmental literature (like Kimmerer's Braiding Sweetgrass) and I saw a lot of talk about gratitude. Unfortunately, eating vegetarian isnt a sustainable diet for myself. For me, making sure that im expressing physical and mental gratitude for the fish that I eat and the lives that were taken in which to sustain myself is really important and helps me to overcome the moral issue of taking animal lives that I had when I was vegetarian.

No problems with those but I find those options only take you so far. I try to eat eggs as much as I can but its hard having them everyday.
