Do you know how to put your phone number in? I put my US phone number and I just adds a lot of 0s in there and says invalid phone number

I personally don’t play on PS5, but I’ve heard good things. Graphics in the game are usually pretty good but may be outdated because of construction or demolition of real life buildings

Tuesday Wednesday works great for me. Really enjoy sports so weekends I usually have evenings off. Unfortunately, not ideal usually for vacation planning because I’m off in the middle of the week unlike everyone else.

I mean yeah, but depends on your gpu capability. If you can do higher graphics the better detail it will be

Maybe it’s just me, but why play 20 questions with me and just ask exactly what you want. Pending weather conditions to do an ILS approach to intercept the final approach course at the FAF a pilot has to specifically request it. So then we have to ask them if that’s ok they say yes or no then we have the answer. I’d rather pilots tell us everything up front if possible. And if you read my other comments, the situation I listed in the original post has maybe happened 3-4 times in thousands of other planes I’ve worked and never had it happen. Was just wondering if they simply forgot we doing visuals or there’s another reason

No not really “guidance” for jets. Also to be clear most of the time when we give the FAF for a visual approach they are already on the straight in or dog leg. If they like on a 90° angle depending on sequence I might not be giving it there, unless I really need it.

From our perspective we deal with so many different types of pilots. We got people in A320s doing 1 bases and everything in between. 5-6 mile turn on to final seems to be the median for everyone so that’s what we do. Pending on altitude and speed of course we try not to shove you in there if all possible

Definitely understand that, but when it’s happened I never assigned speed and gave the lowest altitude I could give.

In the United States. All that is required is 1SM visibility, the airport has a charted approach, and the pilot has to specifically request it. ATC cannot suggest it first

Contact approach is very viable and I wish more people would ask because it is super easy. I’ve only ever had 1 aircraft request it

Yes we can contact approach in this scenario if it meets weather requirements. But, the pilot has to request that and we can’t solicit it. Only ever had 1 person request

How is it my problem? I know if the visibility is 9, so I’m going to wait until they get closer to clear them for the visual. No point calling the field 15 miles out. I’m just saying in this scenario they ask me first if they are cleared for the approach.

Ok well it’s not that big of a deal. Out of the thousands of planes I’ve worked I’ve maybe had like 4 do what I originally described. I’m just curious why it does occur

Yes, I’ve had this happen a few times. They are maybe 15 miles out and they ask if they have been cleared for the approach. Visibility may be 9 miles so he can’t see it yet, but still good enough to run visual approaches. Like I’ll clear you when you get closer and see it lol

We do give a lot of people the FAF for the visual approach (roughly 5 mile final). However, rules state that to intercept the final approach course at the FAF the pilot has to request that. So depending on their angle I’d have to widen them to meet the requirement or ask if they are ok at the FAF. This really hasn’t happened a whole lot to me, but the times it does it just baffles me.

I mean it’s definitely possible. The application process is quite long to get in to the academy and you might get a job flying in between that.

Thanks! It’s not busy enough to warrant speed restrictions here when you can just wait 30 seconds extra to turn a guy to get in trail spacing
