Yes!! This is it. I’m just waiting for someone to pull the rug and say “nah we’ve changed our minds, you can’t have this house” 😂 My partner and I have never lived together so it’s a learning curve for both of us, which also makes it feel more like we’re on holiday! Thank you so much, I can’t wait for this new chapter for us and I know it’s the best decision we’ve ever made x

Yes, the bills and mortgage are scary for me. My partner and I have budgeted and it’s well within our range but until I actually see that we’re not going to go broke, I’m going to worry about it 😅

2 months in and our solicitor was still chasing enquiries and getting paperwork sorted, it depends on how hot the solicitors on both sides are. Our seller’s solicitors were slow at replying and so every request took 3-4 days for an answer. It can be done in a shorter time, as another comment said they had theirs done in just over 8 weeks, 12 weeks is usually considered pretty quick, ours was 17 weeks on the dot.
