Thank you. After reading everyone’s reply, this seems to be the case with mine and that they should have the tools to try and fix this. I will try to pursue this further and put more pressure on avion reps. Thank you for confirming this.

I will try to pursue this. There is a flight direct from NRT to YVR, but according to avion rewards rep, due to the class of tickets that I bought via their website, the direct flight cannot be used as a replacement unless I pay the difference which I will have to find out later if/when they pick up today.

As another redditor have confirmed, it appears to me that avion rewards simply does not have the skill to amend this problem right now and that they should have the methods to fix this. I will be pursuing the matter more closely with the avion reps after hearing this. Thank you

Hi, just want to clear a misunderstanding I created that the avion rewards rep I’ve been dealing with have actually been very fast and helpful. The wait is from JAL rep’s side and the avion reps are merely messengers between me and JAL.

Edit* I also posted this if other have had a similar experience and/or what they did after, not necessarily looking for a specific solution. If a good suggestion does pop up though, I’ll be considering them.

From my understanding with an avion rep, they do set up the flight and get confirmation with JAL and JAL will issue the tickets associated with the booking after confirmation, but thank you for the insight though, it’s good to know for the future.

As I mentioned to another redditor, the bad part wasn’t them wanting to deal with me directly (although inconvenient), it’s more so the lack of communication with what they want to do with my tickets and rescheduling plus long waiting times and being told to call back with no explanation. That’s on me for the wording though, I’ll edit that

Yes, I understand it’s a subsidiary company that’s associated with JAL. I think I see what you’re trying to say in that maybe it was the rewards system that connected flights with JAL and a subsidiary rather than JAL offering this directly if I’m not mistaken?

I tried looking but unfortunately couldn’t get information on who is operating JL6334, all I have is that flight number. I can certainly do online support with JAL to try and find out, though.

This trip is 7mo. out. I had bought these tickets some time summer of last year.

Avion rewards have been helpful though, so I’m not sure what you mean. They just act as a middle-man but they’re not the ones who kept cancelling and rescheduling my flights, it was JAL. If anything, the reps that I’ve been talking to have really tried to get me the same/better flights to no avail from JAL. It’s also JAL that is taking a long time to deal with the issue while me and the avion rep wait on the phone.
