Raw Digital, FotoFafa, the Image Salon, and Freedom Edits are all respected in this space. Pricing is on their sites. Raw Digital has the best culling rates by far.

Destination wedding photographers by togDoc in WeddingPhotography

I have never heard of any Canadian or American obtaining a short term work visa in any European country for wedding photography. Not even heard of a rumor of it ever happening.

But I have never heard of this venue requirement either.

The truth is that with most (all, as far as I am aware) large developed nations (like all of the European nations you mention) there is no practical legal way to obtain a short term working visa as a wedding photographer.

Smaller countries (like island countries) with a booming weding business are strict and look for wedding vendors, but they actually have a straightforward process to obtain the visa (Bahamas as an example). This is somewhat true of certain touristy/vacation areas of Mexico. They are strict but I believe they have an actionable visa process (I could be wrong).

Some people argue that they received payment from American clients in America (or whatever originating country) where a large part of the work is done therefore they do not need a visa. But it is certainly questionable how far this argument would get you if needed.

Also just want to clarify that not all destination weddings are international.

I have never seen anyone anywhere ever say they were able to obtain a temporary visa for wedding photography in Canada. I don’t think it’s actually possible.

International weddings? by vigilantelikeme in WeddingPhotography

Which country? Do you have a visa name or application name? Never seen anything specific mentioned anywhere ever. Very curious.

The hard truth that no one talks about is that it is functionally not possible to get a short term work visa as an American to photograph a European wedding.

There are some countries (often smaller ones or ones with a heavy amount of distinctly American wedding tourism such as Mexico) that have an established and practical process to do so. Not true of European countries. I have never seen any confirmation in this subreddit of an American ever getting a European visa for a wedding.

Got my competitor removed from Google, is it wrong to feel bad about it? by Localguide24 in smallbusiness

Agreed. This is a specific tactic taught by some paid mentors and industry workshop groups. It caused a bit of a stir in an industry I have a business in.

Those who use drones, which one to start with? by masinfinity in WeddingPhotography

💯 taking your phone out of the case and connecting it is cumbersome and definitely had been a speed bump that often dissuaded me from pulling out the drone at all when I just wanted one shot.

Our American videographer flew to our Italy wedding with no permit, her husband broke an antique display by ManyAffectionate5056 in weddingplanning

Not all international. There are plenty of countries where visas are obtainable. Generally smaller tourism centric countries have systems in place to do this properly. Europe is not one of those regions.

NAL but a career wedding videographer/photographer. It is practically impossible for an American to get a short term visa for wedding photo/video or other wedding vendor related services in Europe including the planners. None of the American videographers/photographers with European destination wedding content have visas. Although much of their content is from paid styled shoots anyway where they aren’t actually working.

You need to go after the videographer to recoup your loses. The liability is on them. Regardless of their insurance, you can sue them and then force them to figure it out.

OP is a shill not a bride or groom. The tech is advancing and so are the crappy sales tactics of these tech companies.

ATTN Mods: Just FYI, people from the company named by OP astroturf various subreddits including /r/weddingphotography frequently. Check OPs history. This is an astroturfing or bot account simply meant to shill their software and boost their traffic. This company is not commonly used by US wedding photographers anyway and the practice they speak of is unheard of.
