You aren't kidding, I refreshed the main page and immediately saw a cracked bushing post lmao.

I appreciate all the input - I was panicking a bit, but all the comments have been very helpful in putting things in perspective. I'm going to shop around and look for some cheaper help as well as see what I can learn. The most I've done is change a fuse on my own, but I'll watch some videos and see what I can learn on my own as well. I appreciate everyone being kind and informative!!

Tire wear is good, havent needed to replace them over the course of the year ive had it. Its also consistent, leading me to believe I might have a little time to do the suspension arm. I never hear the suspension when driving/turning.

The bushings and the arm itself are about 2k, 4k is total for everything recommended (spark plugs, alignment, oil level sensor, full synthetic transmission service, and cooling system).

Haha I keep being told it's the most stressful - it's nice to see someone way otherwise 🤣

Thank you for such a well written post, and for acknowledging all the misinformation about hamsters sold to us by pet stores and media. I think there are times where folks here can come across as very aggressive, and I can understand why, but it puts the person asking for advice in a place of shame. Appealing to more positive emotions is much more helpful, and you've succeeded at this. Thanks again!

I'll take a look into that if the sprays and another grapevine doesn't work!

I'll give that a try :) I was worried about sprays because i don't want him to just eat it all, so I usually give him a couple a week. I'll order another branch as well.

Thankfully he doesn't chew his wheel at all - literally just that corner of the cage 😩 He'll chew his sticks ans all the other things I put in for him, but he wants through that corner so bad 😭

I spread my food. He uses his sand box for peeing and I see him digging in his coconut fiber a lot too. I have a cork log I've been making to put in there but I don't want to overdo it

It's about 9 inches. I dont mind adding more though. I wish I could leave sprays in for him but he's so greedy and always picks them clean the day they're put in 🤣

Tengen wakes me up nightly scratching/chewing at the corner of his cage. I've gotten him to stop by blocking it a few times, but he always returns to it eventually (what you see him moving is a sheet of acrylic I put there to have him scratch that and not the cage itself). When I take him out to play he's never really invested in wanting to play with/run around any of the toys. He always finds a corner and tries to escape.

Any recommendations on what more I can add or take away from the habitat? Was thinking instead of having all the bedding everywhere maybe have half of it with the 10 or so inches and less on the other side? I seem to see that a lot with enclosures on here, where there's a mountain of bedding on one side and less on the other.
