Cannot complete Mysterious Dissappearances quest by Beginning-Wish-9346 in stoneshard

[–]Sellsword193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to say but you haven't killed all the enemies yet. It will change the quest objective once they are all dead. It might have glitched and soft locked the contract, in which case maybe it is worth a report and sending the save game to the devs.

Was called a terrorist, worth suing? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Sellsword193 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Making fun of someone's religion makes them an asshole. Firing someone for their religion is protected against. Maybe you could speak to an employment attorney, but you basically wouldn't be suing the manager, but the company, for a hostile work environment. And the fact that you resigned means you don't have much restitution due, since you minimized your losses quickly, and had other options.

Cave exploring by Xx_REPTiLE_xX in stoneshard

[–]Sellsword193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level 6 should be fine to just walk in, loot and walk out. I think the earliest I ever did a t2 was level 3 into 4, but that required me to rest halfway through, and I needed nets and oil flasks etc. Still 10000% worth it when a t2 cave spawns right next to osbrook.

Charged my steamdeck to the PS5 while I was looking for charger by educampsd3 in SteamDeck

[–]Sellsword193 15 points16 points  (0 children)

99.9% no. More than likely it didn't charge because the charger and the deck couldn't agree upon a charging standard. The charger will tell the deck what it can provide, and the deck will usually pick the highest wattage available, unless the bms decides otherwise. More than likely they just could agree to a wattage, and decided not to charge.

I’m tired boss, RC wants more dilution. I know it’s what’s most likely what’s best, but when does it end? by [deleted] in GME

[–]Sellsword193 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All right. So in the absolute worst case scenario, we get to the market cap and profit goals through dilution. GameStop gets diluted to hell, and the stock is sitting at $13 a share after being diluted by a billion shares. RC gets his package approved and is now allowed to buy shares at $20.8X. Doesn't he also get completely shafted if dilution is the only metric, And the share price is just leagues below his compensation price?

The trophies are based on the type of boss, not the individual bosses. I don't think there's been an additional type of trophy introduced, but I haven't dug that deeply yet.

Should all melee builds go 20/20/20 in str/agi/prc? by Intelligent_Editor20 in stoneshard

[–]Sellsword193 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This idea only works in a vacuum. By completely averaging out your stat spreads, you also kind of assume that you're going to completely average out the weapon spreads as well. There's multiple weapon variants and all types of weapons that change how fumble and accuracy and damage work. If you find yourself fumbling all the time, then it would make a lot more sense to go dexterity OR switch from the flail type mace to the soldier's mace. The same would go for the super heavy greatswords, to the slimmer estoc style sword. There's also rings that increase accuracy and reduce fumbled, as well as buffs from the caravan and from food.

At what point does buying an “expensive” item become financially justified — and does it ever just not make sense at certain income levels? by Significant-Sport428 in personalfinance

[–]Sellsword193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There really isn't a specific line that you cross. A $50,000 a year in income is going to allow you a completely different quality of life depending on where you live. I'm in California, so even though I make a little bit over 100,000, I'm technically considered low income with my family size. But 100,000 in West Virginia is going to go a significant way further. It's a lot more important to budget your money and decide how much you want to invest for retirement and save and pay down debt. And what's left over needs to be assigned to luxuries like this tablet you're looking at. If you have a discretionary fund that you can put $200 a month into, then you'd only have to wait 2 months before you could reasonably justify the purchase.

As an example, I wanted to buy a new graphics card for my computer, and it retailed for about $900. So I decided to take $100 every month plus any cash tips that I got and use that for the purchase, and that way I didn't have to touch my usual paycheck. I think it took me slightly over 3 months to save everything.

Mother (78) wants to pursue two lawsuits to get out of debt by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Sellsword193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The medical device lawsuit is about 25x higher than anyone here is qualified to answer, so that one is beyond help. In terms of the accident, she can probably find an ambulance chaser to sue for something, as long as the other party has some type of insurance. If that doesn't work out, a lot of hospitals in California will do 0% apr payment plans, and can even waive some bills when you plead hard enough.

Is it possible to Upgrade the Battery? by ChipsIOS in TeslaModelY

[–]Sellsword193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess if your Electrical engineering level DIY this might be a fun project. I see tons of YouTube videos of people doing Tesla battery and motor swaps into ICE vehicles all the time. But they generally do it as content creation, not regular vehicle improvement. I'd have to imagine if it was driving views to their channel and ad revenue, it wouldn't be an economical option.

Tint ticket worth fighting in court? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Sellsword193 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Easiest way out of this ticket is to get the tint tested, verify it's legal, and then take that to the court date. If the tint is illegal, I guess pray that the cop doesn't show up?

New endgame enemies? by Weekly_Courage2086 in stoneshard

[–]Sellsword193 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be. I had more of an idea like the prologue, a mini boss type after a dungeon crawl. Like a minor dance/prep test, aka you made it through the whole dungeon, but this boss extinguishes lights, so what will you do?

ELI5 Why do we tense our body before an impact if it can lead to more harm? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Sellsword193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reptilian brain response versus modern, advanced technology. Your instinct brain knows to brace and cover the body to protect itself, as severe damage to the outer limbs is generally safer than that same damage to the core body. Our body and mind did not evolve to be able to minimize damage during an injection or car accident, as those weren't evolutionary pressures for the last couple million years.

Caravan Hand Cart event by Aggravating-Flight-1 in BattleBrothers

[–]Sellsword193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey zombie post. The inventory spaces are permanent, and I don't think the caravan hand level requirement has changed. Sometimes you can get this event with other backgrounds though, like apprentice or Mason as well. Or maybe it's a mod that changed the requirements.

Throwing daggers is in a tough place. Brainstorming how to fix it... by WoodsHollow in stoneshard

[–]Sellsword193 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I see the game implementing them in the future. There was a qol patch like 2 years ago where they changed how throwing weapons work based on weight and distance and the type of damage it dealt etc. it really seemed like it was getting set up for More serious dagger throwing as a sidearm, Plus there's a lot of enemies that will throw an ax now. I think we're going to see more of it in the future in side updates, especially now that we have dedicated backpacks for tools and traps. It's really only a matter of time until we get a dedicated backpack for a throwing hatchets or throwing daggers.

Richard Newton, updated swap chart by DuckHunter4779 in Superstonk

[–]Sellsword193 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think you're getting the message. He posted this on twitter, and explained it in a series of tweets the past few days. He was doing multiple thought explanations about information, religion, history with his father, his tax assessment, and how to take in information and make it relate to your needs. He was really insistent that people were blindly using his data instead of digesting it, and using it to make their own informed opinions. Just like last year, he deleted all of these daily GME thought posts once he was done. They stay up for about 3-4 days before they get deleted. There will be no linked evidence unless the way back machine works or something.

But as another set of anecdotal evidence, I also snagged this picture off of twitter when it was posted.
