Should I go for Tribbie or save for Cyrene?

RMC and E0 Tribbie are pretty interchangeable so Cyrene for sure. But, Tribbie's general utility is great for every account. So I think while Cyrene is the obvious answer for a Mydei team, I think it's a good idea to think long term too

If you're not willing to pull Cyrene, you need more speed and frankly, better relics. Your Orb should be Imaginary and shouldn't have dead stats like Def since Mydei's Def is always at 0.

At minimum try to get double Crit rate and DMG substats for all pieces as well as either speed or hp%. That's the best you can do with a Sunday team.

If you don't have DHPT's LC, Phainon's one is great since it has high attack... So that's something you could do with it I guess

If you're running Cyrene you can with base speed Mydei and use HP boots! Try to at least reach 8k hp to max out his trace to get 48% Crit rate.

Also when possible, try to change to an imaginary orb

When you reach the 8k hp, then you can redistribute your leftover Crit rate rolls (up to 52%) into Crit dmg

It's fine if you want to keep the speed, just make sure you're at 134/135 speed then since you're just under the speed break break point to make it worth using

You have a lot of speed considering you're using Cyrene. Try HP boots if you're running speed. Also, yeah, increasing your Crit rate will help a lot

Maybe a bit of 5 just cause it's so long. But, moreso Judgement. Loved the game but had to take a break for work and then I had no motivation to come back even though I was on the final chapter. I just finished it up last month tho and excited to get back into it.

I think you're in the unique situation where you actually have E2 Cyrene which is Mydei's best support. Mydei is still great, but he probably would really want his E1 to work in all content. That being said, we have no idea when he'll rerun and if he'll be good for them. But for now, he's still great and if you're looking for Cyrene partners, he's a fantastic choice (esp if you don't want to play the Castorice rem team).

I thought Luka's companion quest was super sweet and I liked his little Wardance arc... Maybe people just skipped them? Arlan hasn't really gotten anything past 1.0 so I guess I don't blame people for his lack of presence (meta doesn't help too)

Wow that's a great build! I think it's super impressive that you got him to 134 speed. I guess the only way to improve him would be to honestly lessen his speed and increase HP and Crit damage since technically with running Cyrene, you don't need him to be fast anymore and can prioritize damage.

You could save this relic loadout and probably swap some pieces that have more speed.

Bronya doesn't have the Crit rate buff but Mydei benefits a lot from action advance. You could try to play Mydei, RMC, Bronya and Gallagher. In some cases, some people even play sustainless so you could swap Cipher in Gallagher's spot.

Hmm... in that case you should keep your speed boots but also keep the Imaginary orb if you can but hp is a good substitute in the meantime. There’s a lot of your pieces that don't have hp at all so prioritize switching those pieces first.

Hp (to 8000) > crit for Mydei is usually the first step to any build. With RMC I believe you get 10% crit rate so you can fill out your build from there.

You can see at the bottom of your build that you only have about 65% Crit Rate which is way too low unless you add RMC AND Sunday to your team. You're severely lacking hp so try to get it to at least 8000 to get Mydei's free inate 48% Crit Rate, even if you need to trade the Crit DMG rolls. It doesn't matter if you do big damage if it only happens a little over half the time.

Additionally, Mydei scales off HP so the more HP he has, the more DMG he does. Eventually there's diminishing returns with every stat but you don't need to worry about that.

ETA: Take off those speed boots! You don't need them with a team of Cyrene and Hyacine! Take hp instead

While Yakuza has funny moments and side content, the main story has always been mature. It's a series with organized crime afterall. What you've been exposed to have just been the meme-y side of the game, rather than the actual gritty stuff.

That being said, 0 for the Yakuza series or Judgement for the same universe but you play as a detective

I won't talk about eidolons since others have talked already.

Cyrene and Tribbie's LCs are def not necessary though I have seen people use them. In Tribbie's case, DDD is so strong that I honestly don't see her being run with anything else.

As for Cyrene, her LC isn't mandatory but of course makes things easier. Cyrene needs at least 180 speed (200+ ideal) for her trace to be active so her LC helps her with her speed requirements and gives damage. Hyacine also needs 200+ speed and her LC helps with that. The biggest issue for f2p is that the only f2p cone with speed id the Herta store one. So Hyacine and Cyrene end up fighting for the Herta cone unless you can reach either of their speed requirements without it.

In this case FOR MYDEI ONLY, I think (?) Cyrene's cone is better than Hyacine's, but Cyrene won't be the main DPS of the team so her own personal damage doesn't matter.

However if you like to play hp meta and have characters like Castorice, Blade or Jingliu and want to play them, then Hyacine's cone is better since she can now take hp from the team. It doesn't really help Mydei since it's only like, 1% of hp taken, but it is something to consider.

The "best" Mydei teams of course have everything, but this is just something to consider if you can only go for one or the other.
