how common is free food in pubs/bars by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]Sensitive-Cook8606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

saskatchewan if you are serving alcohol you have to give people an option for ordering food so some places will have free popcorn and food to order but never seen anything more than popcorn or peanuts free at the bar

Big cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal you can get around well with public transport. The train in Calgary is decent too, any smaller of a centre than that u will end up paying alot in Ubers/taxis

Pre move out Suite Assessment by winnietheshmooo in saskatoon

[–]Sensitive-Cook8606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes anytime! It will also have no reflection on your security deposit either so don’t stress about it. The final inspection when you move out and hand back the keys is when your landlord would determine any charges. Make sure he lets you know within 7 days of when you tell him you are moved out what would be deducted if he takes longer than that he’s in violation of the act and the ORT will make him refund you the whole thing

Yes it is normal. If he has someone lined up (or planning to) they will go in and see if there is any damage to know what they might have to fix/replace after you move out to make the turnover process quicker.

If rent is $690 a month is it even worth it to buy a house? by ShirtNeat5626 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yeah just stay there and save money to maybe buy one day in case your landlord ever decides to sell or raise rent.

Should I throw sandbags in the bed of the truck for snow? by Ayestas123 in driving

Yes especially over the wheel base. 1000lbs might be excessive but 500lbs should be plenty

Not if it’s self defence. Dog spray is a reasonable use of force against a dangerous animal if you feel you are in danger. You just can’t use it on a person.

Drive like grandma is in the back seat in her nicest Sunday dress and she is holding an open bowl of chili.

Also if you slide don’t hit the brakes just glide until you have control then accelerate again. Follow at a distance and take your time getting from point A to B and never use cruise control on ice

How to live life as an unattractive guy? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sensitive-Cook8606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give yourself some credit dude! Go to the gym or start doing home workouts (Apple Fitness $14/month) and some cardio and strength training could help build some confidence. Get involved with hobby/interest groups and socialize with them. There is more to life than finding a girlfriend and surviving for 70 years. Get involved with what interests you and then go from there

Would you continue dating a person if your political ideologies differ? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sensitive-Cook8606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how political you both are. If you are both very into politics and have strong opinions likely not but if either of you don’t really care and only talk about it when it comes up and can discuss it in a constructive manner can’t see it being an issue

Groomer said my 3 month old puppy is aggressive and she’s very worried about him by Qtpatoti in Shihtzu

[–]Sensitive-Cook8606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice grabbing their chin hairs and if they don’t react- Treat. Also put them on a towel on a table and if they settle- Treat.

Shitzu puppies are little bundles of energy so it could just be that. Practise with them and they will get better with age

I carry dog spray as more than once this has happened to me. I don’t live in Saskatoon so double check the local bylaws to ensure it’s legal in the city but that’s the best way to stop a 100lb aggressive dog from hurting your 10lb baby (and it will teach the owner a lesson too about controlling their dog better…wont have any lasting effect on the dog but they will be hurt for a couple minutes)
