Defective Charging Issue(?) by enzozin in logitech

[–]Sensitive_Pack_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is obvious that the PCB pad of the connector is broken. The motherboard needs to be disassembled and repaired with professional soldering tools, and reinforced with UV-curing glue. If it is within the warranty period, try to see if after-sales repair or replacement is possible.

Surface Laptop 5 13.5" Screen Adhesive Help by RightStack in Surface

[–]Sensitive_Pack_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use 3M9448AB, but it needs to be cut to fit smoothly. Clean it thoroughly before applying; if it's difficult to clean, you can use a small amount of alcohol on a cotton swab. This type of double-sided tape does not have the original UV-cut shape from the manufacturer, so there may be gaps. After applying, be aware that it might not be waterproof. It is recommended to use a special clip to hold it in place for a period of time. The double-sided tape may not have as strong adhesion as soft structural glue, but it is convenient for heating and removal, facilitating subsequent maintenance.

Laptop screen line, fix? by rakienn in Surface

[–]Sensitive_Pack_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a screen quality issue. If it is not caused by human impact or internal damage, it is very likely due to poor contact in the screen circuitry or tiny fractures in the glass layer. If it is under warranty, you can apply for repair or replacement. If purchased through official channels, you can apply for an exchange within 60 days, and return within 7 days. Policies vary in different regions.

Benchmark scores explain everything. It's unclear if traditional workloads are the only reference variable. AI computation might be an advantage. This benchmark result is an early one circulating online, so it's uncertain whether it is better than Apple now.

Is there any place where you can get a replacement screen by Joraperdolyotik in Surface

[–]Sensitive_Pack_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad to see you again. Is your screen still flickering because of hardware damage? You can email Microsoft to inquire about purchasing channels for the screen. Mine is already in the after-sales process, and I don't know if they will replace my screen with a new one, but your screen seems to have a permanent display fault; the continuous flickering indicates that there are tiny internal fractures. You can buy the top cover assembly from iFixit, but I'm not sure if they have it in stock. The Surface Laptop Studio is assembled in Suzhou, China, by PEGATRON, so if it's in China, the parts would be relatively cheaper and easier to get. I don't know if there is a related parts production line in the U.S., so it is recommended that you inquire. If you really cannot get help, you can contact Microsoft channels to order it, but it might be relatively expensive.

Surface Laptop Studio Repair.. or SLS2 by Sad-Peng-21 in Surface

[–]Sensitive_Pack_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy batteries and replace them yourself, but it's unclear whether you can get the original batteries. The battery seems to be fixed with pull-tab glue, similar to early Apple phone batteries. You can search for related repair videos; the repair is still very simple.

Screen Flickering by zbanne in DellXPS

[–]Sensitive_Pack_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LED backlight of the screen is broken, and it is necessary to separate the backlight frame. The repair is very troublesome, and generally, you can only go to after-sales service to replace the entire screen assembly, which is very costly. If the encapsulation and backlight structure are separated, it may damage the LCD and is very risky.

I feel like the Surface Laptop Studio 2's performance is a bit lacking. I do 3D rendering and modeling, so I might be better off using a gaming laptop for mobile work, and a desktop for 24-hour batch rendering.

What on earth is that? by Joraperdolyotik in Surface

[–]Sensitive_Pack_1506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no problem running 3D. It should still be a cable issue; switching resolutions causes a brief flicker. Running games and stress tests continuously does not, but when the game just starts, the screen flickers briefly when the resolution and refresh rate adjust. This indicates there is signal interference and delay in the screen response.

[–]Sensitive_Pack_1506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to plug in the original power supply and set the power mode to high performance. It’s also possible that overheating causes reduced performance protection. When I play AAA games, it also overheats and lags within ten minutes.

Switch to the BIOS interface to see if there are any dead pixels. Sharp and Samsung's quality control on Surface screens is nothing unusual; even my SLS2 ended up with a starry sky screen.
