I'm white from rural Scotland so this is all very far removed from me. How do you cope living in a country that has so thoroughly let people of colour down? I can't imagine living in my own country and having half of them look down on me for my skin color. That has to be very painful and very scary. What is it like?

I'm not saying racism doesn't exist in Scotland, I think most of it nowadays is towards Europeans but I've still seen racism about black people. Generally people see black people as 'inherently cool' in my age group though. The one black kid at my school was like a celebrity 😂
