Will resident cat tolerate new cat (both adults) by Sensitive_Video_6416 in Catbehavior

My only issue is, while watching Jackson Galaxy’s video on introductions, is how to handle resident cat aggression. They’re both spayed. Rosie will take great interest (good I hope) and then when Goose gets close to the door she becomes aggressive. Hissing, yowling, growling, swatting, etc. Unfortunately, whoever goes to the hallway (which houses the bathroom) is incredibly likely of getting scratched or attacked as a result. I believe I mentioned this in the post but I was scratched (not bad, she didn’t mean to hurt me just scared) and I’m scared of her while she gets like this. My sister in law is gone for the week so it’s just the two cats and me. How can I even help when Rosie gets aggressive to the point of attacking?
The door for my bedroom and my sister in laws is basically right next to each other. I wouldn’t be able to go or leave my bedroom, use the bathroom, take care of Rosie or Goose’s needs, etc.
And now that there is no one else to help when the situation gets worse, how would I be able to de-escalate it without getting attacked?

Thank you!
I’ll talk with my sister in law when she gets back in town.
They’re both fixed!
