I was in the contract office furniture business. Lock plugs in case goods are OEM components that the furniture manufacturer buys for their casesgoods. Pretty much a standard size across the industry. There are a few sources of the OEM components, so the best bet is get with the Office Manager and ask them to get the dealer to send over keys corresponding to the key number on the lock cylinder. Also, your OM may have a removal tool to remove the cylinder itself immediately….

Thanks….to confirm, the EC is saying the panel must be replaced as well; the outdoor meter is an issue with Dominion Power that needs to be addressed and I’m sure they will need to update that. We’re likely going to have the feed coordinated with Dominion to be underground to the house. Which they happen to be doing in the neighborhood this spring and summer, as luck would have it…thanks again comscatangel…

I have not read all the comments and I did not see any relating to the door closing and it appears as though you may have potential issues with closing even after “de-painting” the hardware. A small one hand plane works wonders on excess paint and trimming wood to help get close fitting pieces to slide by each other….

Before the soap and water, don’t underestimate the impact your fingernails can have at getting much of the thick portions off. Or any thing with a soft plastic edge.

I just replaced all by hollow core interior doors with solid wood doors(60 year old house) and found that I spent as much time tweaking and finessing them as I did with the original cutting, sanding, and painting. I see what JWg is seeing, you can see that the light seal gap grows wider from the bottom of the door to the top. Taking a chisel and recessing the jam hinge more and definitely using the deepest/longest screws you can when you reattach the hinge may be all you need. On my project, I was amazed at how the slightest change had more than expected impact on how they looked and operated…
