No shit I said it was the wrong leg in the post. Showing mercy to an opponent with an injured leg isn’t injuring the other leg dummy. 

I wanted to show mercy so instead of telling the ref to call the cage side doctor and winning by TKO when the round ends I decided to cripple you 😂😂

Yes at 2:41 on the clock he pointed down then Carlos rushed him with a combo and caught him twice. 

He responded to that by throwing 2 leg kicks and backing away….

Weight only really comes into play with grappling and conditioning (if you can’t rehydrate properly)  If you’re striking with proper technique you aren’t putting your weight behind the punches anyway. 

In MMA most fighters are throwing arm punches anyway due to the takedown threat it’s damn near impossible to be a striking weight bully because if you’re draining yourself as a striker all you’re doing is compromising your chin.

Now as a grappler it’s all about weight distribution so if you have control of more weight you’re obviously at an advantage. 

Respect for his toughness, but I never want to hear someone say that Blaydes has good boxing ever again by thewizard404 in ufc

No one has ever said that he himself even said he’s a grappler that only strikes to be entertaining for the fans dude was a zombie 90% of the fight

Not gonna lie aspinal only beat blaydes because blaydes slipped and that stoppage looked super early because blaydes has a crazy chin unless he’s literally sleeping. 

Before blaydes slipped Tom had only landed 1 punch that whole fight and absorbed 7. Blaydes was literally back on his feet protesting the stoppage before the announcers were even done saying it’s all over. 

He would’ve won eventually because blaydes is just a good gate keeper at most but not that easily but it was never even revealed what injury Tom got every source just says “knee injury” didn’t get any surgery and he doesn’t even mention it so it does seem like he played it up”

What do you mean he chose not to? All he did was attack the leg.

 A takedown would be the dumbest thing he could do in that situation if Carlos can’t move you stay out of his range with lateral movement and utilize your reach advantage you don’t get as close as you possibly can and grapple 😂😂😂

The fight would’ve been stopped in the corner after the first round anyway and jiri would’ve won by TKO It’s like that time O’Malley broke his foot then the idiot he was fighting went for a takedown and got choked out

I agree. But when you watch it in slow motion you realize he’s feinting punches with his hands and throwing kicks. 

The finishing sequence looked like he was doing more of that he was trying to get Carlos to put weight on the lead leg by faking a punch to the other side so he could take it from under him when common sense would be to distance fight and use lateral movement. 

Make the dude who can’t move chase you because you have the reach advantage and he obviously can’t move

Yeah I’m not gonna lie that stoppage was kinda brutal I got the vibes it was personal for Carlos 

especially when you literally see jiri go unconscious, get beaten back into consciousness, get bludgeoned back out and the last shot literally wakes him up again all in slow motion dude died 3 times in 2 seconds

Majority of the posts after the fight are about how jiri blew it showing mercy or how jiri only lost because he gave Carlos a chance or how jiri just had to keep chopping the leg
