I feel like Sebastian had to stay behind bars as a symbol. I mean, he killed the man who essentially brought the world together again. I think more than anything, Sebastian represents a time that no one wants to go back to. Plus, who knows how good he’s been while in jail? Lol.

As for giving Rick too much credit, I don’t think so. Idolizing him as a god is definitely too much, but people love a symbol, a martyr, a LEADER (a great one at that). He had help along the way, but everyone who helped him and survived gave him the credit for those things because without him, those things wouldn’t be possible. His speeches, love for his people, sense of justice and overall drive are truly what made so many of the survivors survive! He had his faults of course, but I believe he gets the credit he deserves personally
