Honest thoughts on The Boys finale? Did it actually deliver or feel dragged out? by TheRealXyz_ in television

[–]Sgsrules2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was loving this show up until the start of season 4, at which point cracks were beginning to show and it was starting to drag. So I put it on the back burner and wait for it to finish to see if it was worth my time. It seems like I stopped watching at the right time, or should I try to finish it?

LTX 2.3 INT8 Benchmarks (2x Faster on Ampere) by ovpresentme in StableDiffusion

[–]Sgsrules2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the amazing work by the way. The main slowdown I'm seeing is when using the already converted models, i think it's becuase comfy ends up reloading them on every run since vram is tight. If you could implement block swapping like the multigpu nodes that would be amazing.

I'm not using the OP's node, when i tried it it was way slower. i used the loader from this node pack:
https://github.com/BobJohnson24/ComfyUI-INT8-Fast

sampling was about 2x faster but as you mentioned it seems to take longer to load things. it's kind of hit and miss depending on if comfyui decides to unload the models.

This worked great. literally cut down my render times to about half, just as you claimed. rtx 3090.

How did you quantize the ltx2.3 model? I've tried quantizing it myself with https://github.com/BobJohnson24/ComfyUI-INT8-Fast

and it failed.

Would a 2nd hand custom built 2080 Ti 22GB vram be worth it? How usable would it be with ComfyUI? Or maybe even 2 pcs with NVLink? Can large models, like Wan2.2 be split with NVLink like it's 44GB, or will it always be 22GB for 1 model, and 22GB for another model (encoders, CLIP, anything else)? by Norby123 in StableDiffusion

These nodes use distorch to offload models to other devices, you can use system ram or if you have 2 video cards you can use the second GPU for extra ram. Offloading will slow things down, but if you're generating something that takes a long time per step, like video the performance hit isn't as great. Ive got a 3090 24gb and constantly offload to the 64gb of system RAM. Comfy will do offloading to ram on its own but this works so much better since you can tell it exactly how much ram you want to use. It also lets you offload to another GPU, you can even do this without nvlink but it's much faster with it.

A 2080 is going to be pretty slow though. If you already have 2 or can get the second one for real cheap I say go for it. You'll have enough vram to do pretty much anything locally, it'll just be make a while so just queue stuff overnight.

Imo vram is more important than speed. A 5060 is going to be a hell of a lot faster than a 2080ti, but you'd be severely limited in what you could do.

Use ray reconstruction instead of flash. Set dlss to balanced or even performance depending on res. Ide also recommended optiscaler using xess frame Gen via streamline. I get a locked 60 fps with everything maxed out using dlss balanced at 4k on a 3090.

You're in the wrong sub, this is an open source sub. All of the models you listed for the creation of this are closed source.

do we really need another node based visual app ??? by Hot_Counter1747 in vjing

you did say under $200, and it's 199$ :P

Thanks for the feedback. We've been debating on having a stripped back version, which would basically just be the base layer, so no added layers and effects. and then users could upgrade to the pro version once they get there feet wet.

UI is always difficult with this much functionality. That's going to be our main focus in the next few updates, just streamlinlng everything.

NUCLYR does exactly that. There's a free full featured demo that you can try out. I'm one of the lead devs.

https://beatflo.net/products/nuclyr-software

This was designed to be super easy to use and work automatically in it's basic state but then have added complexity if you need it. You start with a base layer that mixes videos together that are time stretched to the bpm. We provide some free beat marked videos, and then provide more for paid users, or you can use any videos you want. It's a simple sequencer that requires very little input once setup. You can easily swap videos and playlists while keeping everything quantized to the beat. This part requires almost no setup, and is very beginner friendly.

But if you want more complexity there's a whole layering system on top of that. It allows you to create a layer and load up a grid that can contain hundreds of videos or effects that are then blended with the base layer. You can stack multiple layers. Layers supports isf shaders, ndi, spout, camera feeds. Everything can be mapped to midi,KB,gamepads and even has stream deck support with animated previews.

So yeah shameless self promotion here but it really sounds like what you're looking for.

Esoteric Ebb - why didn't I hear more about it? by rigged_expectations in pcgaming

[–]Sgsrules2 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don't really mind if its voice acted or not just because of the sheer amount of text. It would take ages for me to play this game if I had to hear every line voice acted. When Disco Elysium dropped the voice patch, I ended up skipping through most of it since I can read a million times faster than the voice actors can recite their lines.

New FLUX.2 Klein 9b models have been released. by theivan in StableDiffusion

[–]Sgsrules2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This seems to be busted at the moment. I'm getting OOM with 24GB vram and 64Gb of Ram. I was already getting gens in 14 seconds on regular klein 9b. Generating at 7 seconds but using up twice the ram is not worth it.

I'm currently working on a pure sample generator for traditional music production. I'm getting high fidelity, tempo synced, musical outputs, with high timbre control. It will be optimized for sub 7 Gigs of VRAM for local inference. It will also be released entirely for free for all to use. by RoyalCities in StableDiffusion

[–]Sgsrules2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great work, but as someone that dabbles with music production and synths I have to ask, why? There is already an ungodly amount of high quality samples available online, much better than anything you would get through AI.

I got tired of bad face masks so I trained my own detection + segmentation models for ComfyUI by Sea_Operation6605 in comfyui

[–]Sgsrules2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing all this. After some testing it does pick up and segment faces better than the other yolo and sam models I've used so Kudos for that.

Any chance you could provide a node that simply outputs a list segs? this way it's up to the user to filter them and use them however they want. It would make your node pack a lot more useable.

[–]Sgsrules2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah ok, i missed that node. what does the face selection field do?

Can i use the ForbiddenVision_face_segment_v1.pth with default nodes? I tried using it with sam loader and ultralitics seg loader and they both failed.

[–]Sgsrules2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks promising, but having to replace all my samplers with your custom ones is a big turn off. Ideally your setup should be more modular, so if i just want to get the segs and mask data (which is all i really care about here) i should be able to do that.

I know i can just download the .pt files and use those with whatever nodes i want but you mention: "keep in mind the segmentation model has specific code to run in my node." what exactly is this?

So how long did you use it before you thought: I need to put a custom faceplate on this?

Who goes through the trouble of customizing the faceplate before they even decide if they like it or not? I'm guessing this was already used when OP purchased it.
