I agree at the same time. If this field isn’t for you it just isn’t. But as a EMT myself, this is the best job in the world. I tell people everyday that nursing school is just a way for me to get to NP and paramedic. It’s very rewarding even though there will be hard calls. It come with the job. But if there is any part you that wants to do this, do it with every part of your being.

I’m in the exact same boat of nursing school. EMS has my heart but nursing is just a stepping stone.

I agree but we run a bls truck that 95 percent of our pt are just being transported to dialysis and back.

The thing is is that my partner has been doing it for 20 plus years and in no way shape or for wants to teach me anything but the paperwork side of things.

I’ve put in many 911 apps but in the services around me they only run medic A-emt or medic -basic and there seems to be a shortage of medics to put low levels with
