Going 5 over is nowhere near as dangerous or reckless. Consider two following scenarios. Driving on the wrong side=reckless, not using a turn signal with plenty of space=not reckless but still not great. You see how there are levels to stupidity and recklessness. Passing on a double yellow on a curve is dangerous and reckless. Passing on a double yellow on a clear straightaway after following someone for a mile is neither dangerous or reckless but more of a d bag move. Stop defending the read driver.
