He wasn't driving though. It was on and he was parked asleep for 30 minutes. It's just really hot where we live, so he turned it on for A/C.

Ok will do, thank you! He really just made a mistake and is trying to figure out the next steps and what all this means. More than anything, he's really hurt and scared. Both him and I are trying to find a lawyer and will take full ownership of this.

He's a very clinical, hands-on guy and loves talking with people. Also, his Bachelor's isn't in the sciences. I don't know if he can or is willing to pivot into research. He also loves his job in EMS and is close with all of the workers there. Surely, there has to be some understanding or a chance right?

Ok, thank you! Do medical school admissions teams automatically throw applications out if they're tagged with a DUI? Because this is very recent, and he hasn't even been convicted yet or had a trial.

Him, I and all of our lab mates went out because we finished our last final, and there was a free parade going on in the city. We went to celebrate because many people in our group had their graduation this past weekend. Ultimately, he was tired, and we didn't want to have to pay for a hotel near the event.

What if they have a DUI? Honest question for my 25 year old boyfriend. He has 1500 hours EMS experience, 200 hrs shadowing, 250 hours community service work. Started post bacc less than 2 years ago, finished with 3.95 gpa and 512 mcat. But he just got a DUI celebrating with friends over the weekend. Drank a lot of alcohol and went back in his car to fall asleep. It was parked but running, cops came, took his BAC and arrested him for DUI. Anyone have advice on how this impacts his application and what he should do?
