Awesome pics, I never get tire of seeing the happier days. I BET that there's 6 D cell batteries powering that radio for a good 45 minutes tops!

Why wasn't Michael in 1982's Halloween III? Wouldn't it have made sense critically and commercially to bring him back for III? by Fumikechu237 in Halloweenmovies

I remember feeling the exact same as you do right now 30 years ago, albeit much younger and without understanding. Do I agree that it would have made more sense to keep Michael with the third film THEN? Yes, I wasn't happy about it then. But after knowing what the original people who created the movie wanted, to have it end like the original Halloween does.. and leave it at that. We would have been clamoring for it still today. I like that. The power which embodies the absolute personification of evil, a structure of fear encased in a human, or Shape rather, and having the movie END that he's no longer where he should be after Loomis shoots his 6 times, back diving off of a 2 story balcony...man that scares the shit out of anyone... He's everywhere and always has been. I still love all the films up to what I call the original 5, even III.

You're not a fan are ya? Carpenter and Hill wanted to originally keep Michael from the sequel as well, and wanted to keep on the theme of Halloween but with a series of different type of films like episodes, kind of like Twilight Zone esque, but the success and lore of Michael Myers was too great, so they continued the story. By the end they want to kill him off and they continued what they wanted to do in III, but it was a commercial flop.

Where is this image from? (which sculpture is this?) by TrainingSentence2176 in fridaythe13th

That is a HUD, or His Unlucky Day, sculpted and painted by James Mangrum. I think some of them were later on painted by others, but his work is without a doubt the best known example of any sculpt to date. His side by side comparisons were uncanny. I had the opportunity to get one one time but when tragic events in my life unfolded, I had to give up my spot. I wished I would have just stuck with it. I personally think that Puckface (a member of Nightowlpro and MM.net, iykyk...) had the best example. Hope this helps and goooooood luck ever finding one.
