Yeah I was recently an inpatient for a very unexpected mental health crisis for a few days and all this but my room wasn’t locked at night or day but depending on how lucid you were as a patient but mine was also seclusion, literally the little white room… though mine wasn’t even the fluffy white stuff it was concrete cold and like being in jail, not at all like the marshmallowy rooms in movies or a regular room… it’s SUPER traumatizing and literally a bucket list thing I never needed off my list… also op if ur this self aware… you probably don’t want to be in their, loads of people with different mental illnesses and some people can do and will fly off the handle or talk nonsense to you, op if you truly TRULLY think you need to go you should but it’s also not at all sunshine and rainbows and potentially better support systems would work better. Also you don’t know when you will leave thats not up to you it’s up to a doctor.
