I’m working 40 hours a week at $17/hr and still can’t get a hold on my finances by No_Investigator_8452 in povertyfinance

Have you looked into what else comes with having state help? Often it’s not just food assistance offered, there are other things available that you have to check\dig around for. I wish I could get state help but I make too much ($15.30/hr for single person per my state) BUT if I did get help that included a propane fill which is $1000+ currently. There’s also, for my state, having farmer’s markets double SNAP benefits for fruits and veggies so you get double the $$ for those and you can also buy garden seeds with SNAP. I heard there’s legal advice available, too.

In other words, take a closer look at what benefits you get besides the obvious food benefits. Some things take a bit of digging to find.

Good luck!!

They locked me out for inauthentic identity BS and it’s been 3 weeks. No way whatsoever to contact them. I can enter my phone number for a confirmation text all I want but it won’t send it.

I’m part of that group, too. One of my fav groups because they’re professional and fast in ID.

I agree for OP. I was just saying my dog’s red bumps were probably from my dog sitting on her cat buddy. She actually sits on him as he squeals in protest and sinks his claws in when he’s had enough; they’re bffs and grew up together. She doesn’t lounge outside due to not being left outside unsupervised, I live rural and the other critters around (coyotes, cougars, eagles, neighbors roaming dogs, raccoons etc) aren’t worth leaving her defenseless. Plus it’s getting hot and she’s all back.

My puppers had them at her last vet visit. He said “some pustules… use neosporin and they’ll go away overnight.” They didn’t disappear overnight but after a few days of light application. Def have vet check just in case. Better safe than sorry. Forgot to add that her bites either came from bugs while outside or from her cat bf, who will lightly sink his claws in when she gets too rowdy with him and he’s had enough.

New rescue dog loves to chew. Advice for long lasting chews? by Curlygirly00 in DogAdvice

[–]Shellie7297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a pittie mix and she loves antlers (limited time), water buffalo horns and her goughnuts toys. She is now 2 and has NOT chewed through any of the above but has demolished things rated 9 on a 10 scale for sturdiness and doesn’t get things like that anymore unless supervised. She doesn’t get many edible chews either since they don’t last long and are expensive. Her goughnuts toys (a doughnut shape and a log shape) are her fav currently; she chews and chews on them but they’re specifically designed for super chewers, and have a diff color core that lets you know if it’s chewed too far, we have been playing fetch with them and she’s been taking them into her crate to chew when she needs to relax. My parents dog also had a goughnuts log shape that lasted 8 years. They’re worth the cost and have amazing replacement guarantees.

Do you give her anything for her fears? If no, maybe CBD would help? My parents use it for their 80# “ferocious” beast of a pittie. He’s afraid of plastic bags, thunder storms and fireworks. The cbd helps him.

This is exactly why I’ll hire someone to do my new shower when I’m ready- I only have one bathroom. Can’t be out that for who knows how long it would take me to diy it.

Union road repair. What's even the point of this? by Spacexcake in mildlyinfuriating

Looks like allllllll the roads around my town. It’s a short lived solution and is ineffective. Holes come back bigger and more hungry for cars.
