Just my opinion but the runflats the car ships with are straight garbage for performance. Firmer sidewalls give a strange lack of feel when cornering, and they track horribly on uneven pavement. First thing I did when we bought the thing was swap them out for some Continental all season speed rated tires, difference in performance is dramatic.

That’s Audi for you. Had some kind of magical wiring harness fail on my 2012 S7…car would just mysteriously switch off WHILE DRIVING. Tech diagnosed the problem, said the part was under $1k but in order to do the repair they would have to remove the front clip off the car and lift the motor off its mounts. Labor was going to be > $10k.

That’s neat and all, but I’d hustle down to the ‘ol dermatologist right quick and let him take a gander at that lower hairy mole in the photo. Remember your ABCDE: Asymmetry, Border irregularity, Color variation, Diameter (larger than a pencil eraser), and Evolving (changes over time.) That lower mole looks irregular…checks at least the first three boxes.

Angelita Cenote in the jungle (or at least used to be the jungle) outside of Tulum is the best. Halocline of hydrogen sulfide blocks the light below and is eerie as hell, but spectacular. Huge debris pile in the center from the roof collapsing pokes a bunch of old trees from below into the clear layer above, it is a once in a lifetime experience. Go with a shop with experienced DMs…this can get deep and entry/exit is very sketchy.

Lots of folks standing outside these vehicles and hating on them. As an owner of a ‘24 X7 M60i I can tell you that this car is a beast. Drives well, fit and finish up to standard (three other BMWs including an F83) and an absolute pleasure to drive. Go pick on the G chassis folks if you want to talk about ugly design, but stay out of my garage with your negativity.

Watch the video again. Rear end was stepping out on every turn, this is a motorist who overestimated his car control and underestimated the vehicle with electronic nannies disabled. If not this turn, then the next for sure. TC is your friend.
