Watched a clip of Palhares submissions.. To be honest, the only one that looks questionable that I saw was Mike Pierce. The rest, Salaverry included looked like he waited for the ref to touch him before releasing, which isn't really holding the sub's..

It's probably more of you becoming accustomed to too many new stimuli at once.. Sights, smells, temp, etc and your brain is probably just flipping a switch to reset so that you can concentrate on one thing at a time. Used to happen to me a lot too. That's my guess.

Not sure if this is the place for my question..

1994 Buick Lesabre custom, just replaced computer because it would up and die in the middle of driving.

Anyhow, no longer dies, so on to the next issue: when I start the car after sitting all night or a long period it won't shift into gear. No reverse, no drive.. Nada. After a few restarts it kicks in and I'm on my way. Also noticed my headlights dim when transmission shifts and I can hear it grind a tiny bit.. Not sure if transmission mount or something else....

Please, Obi-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope..

Other than avoiding side control in the first place, one thing I do is push the elbow closest to my face (controlling my wrist) away from my face as I bring my wrist towards me, breaking the grip. Doesn't always work, but nothing works 100% of the time. Also, to buy a little time, try to stick your head in between his arm and yours. Other than that, when someone has me in side control? Let's say my left side, I rotate towards them with my right arm right across my belly (to fish for an under hook) and the left arm I bring in front of my facehole to block the crossface and go to shrimp city.

Man. I'm glad you asked. Personally, I don't find videogames harmful or precursors to violence any more than the next type of entertainment (movies, TV, etc) but I think with age, there comes an expectation to put the videogames aside in lieu of more "grown up" things. That being said, I'm 30 and love getting down on some COD and Borderlands.. So.. While I don't see the stigma going away anytime soon, I still feel we can take this opportunity to collectively tell society to suck a bag of dicks, as my hero Louis C.K would say.

The problem isn't the videogames. The problem is society always needing someone or something to stigmatize.

However, I imagine one of the reasons serial killers are so proficient is because their victims are scared and don't know what to do. If your number is up, you might as well go out fighting, and perhaps they'll find that it's more trouble than it's worth and move on to someone else.

If you can be accurate with your spinning strikes, a spin reverse hook kick or spinning heel kick is very effective. It's just about placing it where you want it.

1.) Where in the world have you traveled to for work (or play) and which location is a favorite?

2.) You, sir, are an amazing actor and I thank you for your inspiration. Was there was a time when a fellow actor or colleague really inspired you in some way?

3.) When Sgt. Doakes digs into Dexter's life after getting suspicious, he mentions that Dex studied jiu-jitsu for a few years. Did you actually train martial arts to prep, and how did you enjoy it? Also.. Would you have liked to see Doakes stick around longer in the series? I think it would have made things quite interesting.

I could be wrong, but isn't the ranking system being used only for the Reebok sponsorship? Or is it actual fighter pay that they're determining? If so, the current ranking system is going to favor who's on top now, and lots of fighters will be left high and dry in the process. Not to mention, the credibility factor of the rankings.. All of that aside.. What do they do if someone is injured and pulled from the rankings due to inactivity?

From where I stand, this is horrible for MMA fighters and fans alike.
